A privilege to present this work on behalf of Professor Ozaki and @CleClinicHVTI on the potential value of the Ozaki procedure in chronic dialysis patients who have an ⬆️ risk of SVD with standard bioprosthetic valves @AATSHQ
I am absolutely floored to join this incredible team.
I am so grateful for my partner, mentors, family, and friends who supported me along the way.
Exited to learn and train!
The past few months have been surreal. I graduated from medical school, enjoyed the beautiful beaches of Bali, moved to Cleveland, and am now 2 weeks away from what was once just a dream.
Incredibly grateful and excited to call @CCF_CTSRes my new home!🫀@CleClinicHVTI
It was a privilege working with this incredible team, advocating for patients on key policies such as expanded lung cancer screenings and workforce shortage.
The #STSAdvocacyConference23 Capitol Hill meetings are officially underway! Thank you to record number of advocates for being champions today for cardiothoracic surgery.
My personal favorite:
‘Is your partner okay with you pursuing a career in Cardiothoracic Surgery?’
Missing all the incredible talks at @AATSHQ this year but very excited to work with you and the team at @CCF_CTSRes soon! @EricRoselliMD
@TSRA_official, @ThoracicStudent, and JTCVS (@AATSED) have created a 7-part primer series to introduce cardiothoracic surgery to students. We hope that surgeons and residents will share these articles with rotating students and those interested in cardiothoracic surgery.
Check out our study of patients undergoing surgery for acute type A dissection.
🫀Operative/overall mortality slightly favored aortic over non-aortic cannulation.
It was a privilege to be a part of this! @M_Pompeu_Sa_MD@IbrahimSultanMD@DSGMD@sarahyousefmd@XanderJacquemyn
In a cohort of patients with synchronous multiple primary lung cancers, our study finds:
🫁80.9% were incorrectly staged by at least 1 modality.
🫁When inaccurate, CT and PET reports only noted the most suspicious lesion in 85% and 81%, respectively.
And that is a wrap at @scahq! My talk on diastolic coronary blood flow reversal in mixed valvular disease. Can you think of factors that contribute to the development of this rare phenomenon? #SCA2023
