This is the hardest message I’ve ever had to share.
We lost mom yesterday. 💔
There are not enough words to explain how much I miss her and wish I could turn back time.
For those blessed enough to know her, you understand why.
♥️🙏♥️
Ti amo mamma con tutto il mio cuore.
For anyone demanding proof #BC’s top doctor DOES wear a mask when she’s not giving us updates in front of a camera, here’s a vacation shot of Dr. Bonnie Henry.
Not sharing where because, even with the mask, she’s still pretty easy to spot (but it is in BC). #COVID19@NEWS1130
To all respiratory therapists called in to cover shifts for overwhelmed and burnt out colleagues at hospitals in #BC’s #COVID19 hot spots, thank you for taking care of countless patients now on ventilators.
Praying for their full recovery and the safety of all health workers. 🙏
Thanks Doug!
I got scooped on my own news today, but really happy to be moving back after 20+ years in #Vancouver.
Forgot to ask one important question before I signed the paperwork.
Will #Kamloops have a #Chipotle before Christmas?
Covering the pandemic, I’ve received a couple of nasty emails about being “harsh” during media briefings.
The latest is from someone upset I dared to ask why a ski resort with nearly 600 #COVID19 cases can stay open.
Time to blare @springsteen
♥️🎼♥️
Rail traffic through the #FraserCanyon also impacted by #BCStorm.
@CNRailway crews are now assessing possible damage to tracks.
This image of a derailment near #BostonBar was shared anonymously with me.
I have permission to share this photo of the tomatoes my dad picked this morning.
🍅 🍅
They weighed in at nearly 2lbs each!
He says the picture makes them look too small.
Hmmm... Nope!

For anyone thinking the #Coquihalla will re-open soon, this damage is not something you can repair in a few days and you don’t need to be an engineer to figure that out, so please stop asking @DriveBC for updates on when that route might be drivable again. 🙈

This is the #Coquihalla#BCHwy5 at Juliet
Via @DriveBC - closed between #HopeBC and #Merrit due to mudslide at Exit 202 (11 km south of Great Bear Snowshed). Assessment in progress. Estimated time of opening not available. Detour not available.

Not sure I want to see a new joint statement which does NOT contain detailed data explaining exactly why schools in #COVID19 hot zones (with or without variant cases) are staying open —if indoor dining is banned for at least three weeks across the entire province. #bcpoli#bced
I suspect we'll be getting new #COVID19 case numbers on Monday and unfortunately we are likely to see more than 2000 cases (again) over two days. Keep an eye on hospitalizations and ICU numbers. #bcpoli
The Delta variant continues to pose a risk for unvaccinated individuals of any age: children comprise 20% of new COVID-19 cases across the U.S. Nearly a third of all new cases can be traced to Texas and Florida, where Republican governors oppose mask mandates.
