Firefighters from the main fire station assisted with getting Samy a ten year old Great Pyrenees up from Tryon Creek Park. Rachelle, his owner said that he had wondered down and could not get back up the steep hill on his own. Samy was happy to be back at the top.

This heat has an affect on all of us, even this dehydrated bird that we found in our apparatus bay this morning. Firefighter Cool used a syringe to give it water. Ones the bird was cooled of and hydrated, it flew away. Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids in this heat.

Richard Taylor hates needles, always has. He was so pleased with his first COVID-19 vaccine experience with our Lake Oswego firefighters, he made a t-shirt to express his gratitude. #haveyoubeenvaccinated #getyourstoday

Just about all of Lake Oswego is or has been out of power today. We are seeing an increase in carbon monoxide alarm calls. Please do not use propane heaters, BBQโ€™s or cooktops to heat your house. CO is a #silentkiller #heatsmart #BeSafe

The vehicle is electric, which is very challenging to extinguish due to the heat the battery creates. Hwy 43 will be closed for extended period of time, please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. #pdxalert
