- I hear this narrative a lot and it always leaves me scratching my head bc ordinary Latin parishes that value orthodoxy, reverence, family life, etc., are also packed with families. Our parish has so many families that we avoid a certain Mass on Sundays bc it is too crowded.I do not typically attend the Traditional Latin Mass. But this is where you will find young Catholic families. Gen Z is rejecting the emptiness of secular materialism.
- Honestly, who posts like this on the day of someone’s death? He speaks as if the Holy Father was Hitler. Peter should be ashamed of himself and beg for God’s mercy. It is a scandal to many and is unbecoming of the Christian. Whatever this is, it’s certainly not “traditional.”
- Both lasagna and cake are layered and cut into slices.in the keynote at @eu_are yesterday, I heard once again the brilliant definition of the difference between religion in Europe and in the USA: religion in Europe is lasagna (made of layers), in the USA is a cake (made of slices).
- Replying to @Romulus504Fr. Thomas Joseph White, OP - American Dominican, elite Thomist, and Rector of the Angelicum
- Curious: what are some examples of names in honor of saints that aren’t simply the name of the saint itself? For example, we named our oldest Lily in honor of St Joseph. Anyone else?I can’t emphasize enough how good it is to name your kids after saints and Biblical figures. You don’t just honor the saint, you give your child an ally and patron. If I’m praying for Paul, I’m gonna ask St. Paul to pray for him too. Now two are gathered in Jesus’ name.
- "Let not many of you become teachers...for you know that we who teach shall be judged with greater strictness." - James 3If they wanted to make the Cracker Barrel more inclusive, they should have created a new sister chain: The Nigger Bucket. This way, there's something for everyone. Equality. Feels nice.
- Replying to @FrMatthewLCI think we'd need to shorten it to "Gulf of Guadalupe".
- "Now it is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel to hear a Christian, presumably giving the meaning of Holy Scripture, talking nonsense on these topics, and we should take all means to prevent such an embarrassing situation, in which people show up vast ignorance..."
- Replying to @Goodtweet_man and @spellgage... I'd like clarification on the "stuff."
- Replying to @JHaddad01IOW, this isn’t a unique phenomenon you’ll only find in TLM communities. I see it all over the place in our archdiocese, but so many act like the younger generation is only drawn to the TLM, and that’s just simply false.
- Replying to @jdflynnArchbishop Elpidophoros visited NDS last Spring and, when asked if a re-union would be possible in our lifetime, he said: “Brothers, we are Christians. We believe in far more miraculous things than this.”
