It’s Modern RCQ question again, and I’ve updated my modern interaction guide based on the current metagame. Whether you’re playing or judging events, I hope this is useful in your games this season!

Turn 1 turtle
Turn 2 wall of roots, cast THE PRIDE OF HULL CLADE
Turn 3 assault formation, activate on turtle and THE PRIDE OF HULL CLADE, swing for 20, gg
Look out Denver, here come the turtles
Important note for standard players: on his controller’s turn, Kaito is a Ninja Creature, and he is NOT still a Planeswalker. So, if you ninjutsu out a Kaito, and your opponent casts Sheoldred’s Edict on your turn choosing sacrifice a PW, you don’t sacrifice Kaito
At a standard RCQ today. Might play. Might judge. Not sure yet. Me and other judge are playing a match before round 1 begins. Winner plays the RCQ. Loser judges the RCQ. Stakes have never been higher
It's 2009. I play against MagicDevil666 on MTGO, they lose and fill the chat with complaints.
It's 2014. I play against MagicDevil666 on MTGO, the lost and fill the chat with complaints.
It's 2025...
Once was playing modern FNM
Match next to me is Jeskai Control vs Orzhov Soul Sisters
BW: cast Karlov of the Ghost Council
RUW: that resolves
Me: no it doesn’t
Both players were very confused
This does not go live until FF release (so it doesn’t change anything for the spotlight series).
Also, if an Urza’s saga has gained abilities through its chapter abilities already (say, to make constructs), it can still do that under a blood moon
