Molly Ivins wrote an article years ago about a part of Texas state govt which had to seek abortions etc for under age girls Turns out invest was far more widespread than people wanted to think about It's horrific & the fact that it's not talked about is even worse

The second someone says 'genocide', you know they are not a serious person, and will find another slogan or buzzword next year It's just their way of centering themselves & feeling smug They will always move the goalposts, always find a reason not to help

When you ask people what they don't like about her, it's generally tabloid argle beagle, and when you dig down a bit, the racism starts to emerge Like Brexit, once you start to probe beyond the standard talking points, its generally racism & unpleasant grievances

Sounds like exactly the sort of people who would hang around with William She made them feel uncomfortable because they normally feel comfortable coming out with that stuff.She challenged them - they aren't used to that But they are not probably representative of much of the UK

Marie Antoinette had a pretend farm, with porcelain milk churns etc It's a bit like that - your 'working class' cred is bolstered by having a truck, but one with all the extras, the expensive carbon hunting bow, etc It's cosplay, but one where you pretend you are pure

Getting rural areas electricity was a huge deal to people back in the 30s Biden & Harris rolling out rural broadband should have been a big deal, but the media shrugged & rural voters went with culture war stuff That's a big problem, but it's not Dems fault
