I’ve spent 15 years challenging a flawed explanation for an infant’s death. Credit to @NewYorker for patient investigative journalism that corrected the record when institutions did not.
A paper by a renowned toxicologist argued for the first case of opioid overdose by breast milk in history. But in the years that followed, researchers began to suspect that the science was bunk. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/AUASqK

My 13 y.o. son told me that when he hits 99 pounds, he wants to eat one pound of nachos on his own so he can be 1% nacho.

This is going to get people killed
GIBSON: "I have three friends. All three of them had stage four cancer. All three of them don't have cancer right now at all." ROGAN: "What did they take?" GIBSON: "Ivermectin, Fenbendazole"

Medical toxicologist and clinical epidemiologist here. None of this is true.
Adding fluoride to water increases the risk of neuropsychiatric disease in children and reduces their IQ. We can strengthen teeth without consuming this neurotoxin. The data are consistent, adding fluoride to our communities' water must stop. See my guidance here:
    Readers added context
None of the attached studies found any statistically significant correlation between fluoridation of water and any variable relating to cognition or IQ. ehp.niehs.nih.gov/doi/10.1289/eh… For instance, in the Mexico City Study, the p value is way over the threshold of being able to deem it significant.

I'd like to share some reflections on the death of a patient. I’ve thought about her a lot. She gave me explicit consent to tweet the details of her case, about four hours before she died. Her hope was that someone might benefit from her experience. /1

    Replying to @DavidJuurlink
We all die eventually. This patient helped me realize that when my time comes, I'll be fortunate if MAiD is an option. And I will always be thankful to her, her family, and a very skilled colleague for helping me appreciate just how good a “good death” can be. / end

Oh hi, toxicologist here. Delete your account.
The average newborn has 287 chemicals in the umbilical cord blood, 217 which are neurotoxic. Toxins are a major issue of our time, but there is SO much you can do to minimize your exposure, detoxify your body, and reclaim your health.

With measles on the uptick despite the availability of a highly effective vaccine, it's worth reflecting on Roald Dahl's account of the final day of his 7-year-old daughter's life.
At least eight people have gotten measles in an outbreak in the Philadelphia area. One child was sent to daycare despite quarantine instructions, and four others there subsequently got infected. nbcnews.com/health/health-…

Have unvaccinated people ever died suddenly? Just asking questions. Someone should probably look into that.
