    PSA: Next time you show up angry to a board mtg, write a mean email, or just get frustrated with your local superintendent, remember that they were the 1st people across KY to reach out to districts in BG/Mayfield offering help & support. They are all about kids & families!

    That uncertain feeling when you think there are protestors against school reopening @BGJHS on first day of school. Then you realize they are holding signs that say welcome back and honk if you are excited for school. 3 college age kids give me hope.

    PLEASE @GovAndyBeshear, visit @BGISD & @WarrenCoSchools to appreciate firsthand the awesome work that educators in both districts are doing in-person/virtually each day. @RobClayton10 & I will give you access to both districts. The 30,000 foot view from Frankfort is not reality.

    .@GovAndyBeshear says that the White House is very concerned about the numbers in Warren County, where both Warren County Schools and Bowling Green Ind. are both having in-person classes.

    I have found the face for @bgisd #highattendanceday2018 Ulises Hernandez, @BGJHS, 6th grader. Missed bus—could have stayed at home. Not Ulises—he walked 2.7 miles to school because he said “I’m supposed to be at school”. @DGSherrill00003 brought him a new BG hat.

    A sad day for our community. Danny Carothers was a coach, mentor, father figure, leader, advocate, hometown hero & most importantly a friend to so many of us. His impact was felt from our youngest Purples to our oldest ones leading in our community today. RIP my friend

    A sad day for education in the state of Kentucky & for a leader like @DrSPruitt What has happened to common sense & decency in government. We should all be ashamed of the poor example we set for the kids who look up to us.

    The #KBE has voted to amend @DrSPruitt’s contract as the Commissioner of Education to pay him through 90 days and accept the commissioner's resignation.

    .@GovAndyBeshear we can disagree with data. We have a commitment & history of transparency. Our families share health info with us & in-school health providers are both proactive in reducing risks & efficient reacting to students needs. Open invitation to visit @BGISD schools
