The amendment would overturn 7 sections of the constitution to make the widest use of vouchers possible. And it’s deliberately written with no guardrails on who benefits & how much is spent, says @TomShelton47 former Fayette Co. superintendent. kentucky.com/opinion/op-ed/… #VoteNoOn2

Amendment 2 is a bad idea for Kentucky's public schools and the 650,000 students they currently serve. KSBA's Board of Directors urges all Kentuckians to #VOTENoOn2!

Nine out of every 10 students nationally attend a public school. Public schools welcome every child - regardless of ability, race, wealth, language, country of origin, or needs. By strengthening public schools, we strengthen the democracy of our country. #PublicSchoolProud

Our condolences to the family & friends of Dawson Springs Ind. school board member Jenny Bruce who was tragically lost during the weekend’s storms. She served her district for 4 decades, many as finance director. After retirement, she continued her service as a board member.

“Notwithstanding?” What does that mean? Amendment 2 isn’t just a little tweak to KY’s constitution. If the amendment passes, lawmakers will have the power to ignore SEVEN sections of the constitution when considering education funding legislation. #VoteNoOn2 #VoteNoOnAmendment2

OPINION: We’re blaming schools for societal problems rather than blaming societal problems for issues at our schools.
