    Today I received my OBE for Public Service at Windsor Castle from his Royal Highness, Prince William 30 years ago I started as a local authority apprentice & now I’m honoured to be Leader of @RCTCouncil & @WelshLGA I’d like to dedicate my OBE to our fantastic council staff 👏🏼

    When people criticise councils for closing schools in a Red/Amber warning with winds 70 to 80mph i’d point out this is a school in a neighbouring county today! They are only closed to keep people safe.

    I’m sure the public will never know even half the work that public service bodies are putting in to preparing for Coronavirus right now. Huge efforts from local authorities across Wales, 3rd sector, other agencies and of course the NHS! Well done for what you are all doing 👏
