Welcome Back To School!

Union Public Schools has compiled a Back-to-School information page for easier reference. This page includes information on important dates, school supplies, immunization, schedule pickups and more. The first day of school will be Thursday, August 13.

Engaged Students

Life at Union Public Schools is more than just homework. Union believes a successful student is an engaged student and the district provides a wide variety of activities. More than 14,000 Union students are involved in some form of the arts and more than 1,600 students are involved in Union’s athletics and spirit programs. From engineering a house in kindergarten, to solving a medical mystery in middle school, to a theater stagecraft class that 3D-prints props, the district offers a wide range of STEM opportunities. Learn more about Union's STEM offerings.

Early Childhood Education

Union Public Schools believes in the importance of early childhood education. Its mission is simple: to enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy families. A key part of the mission is the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center

Excellent Staff & Benefits

More than 90 percent of the district's administrators hold a master's degree or higher. Of the teaching and administrative staff, more than 40 percent hold graduate-level degrees – with more than 400 holding master’s degrees and 19 with doctorates. Learn more about our teachers.

Union Finance Awarded Certificate of Achievement for Excellence In Financial Reporting By GFOA

For the 34th year in a row, Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Union Public Schools for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025.

Academics are a priority. Union offers programs for students as young as 3 to adults. Union wants everyone to succeed.

Early Childhood

Union provides a full-day, year-round program for eligible 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and kindergarteners. Students learn language, fine arts, problem-solving and more.
