Amberyl
Amberyl is Polimeros Sinteticos' brand of gum rosin and gum rosin derivatives. These thermoplastic resins are used in a wide range on applications including paints and coatings, printing inks, adhesives, road marking, rubber, water treatment, paper and pigments These tackifying resins are based on modified gum rosins, gum rosin esters, modified phenolics, and modified gum rosin ester chemistries.
Amberyl products are produced from pine tar that is harvested in a sustainable manner. Specifically, Polimeros Sinteticos produces gum rosin from pine tree exudate, which is obtained through incisions made in the pine tree. This method leaves the trees intact, meaning that the process is renewable, and gentle on the environment. Additoinally, food-grade esters are available for use in manufacturing chewing gum.
