Our Rights and Licenses department is committed to protecting the copyright of your publication and provides you with expert advice – throughout the entire publication process and far beyond the publication of your book.

What we do for you:

• We maintain fruitful contacts with agencies and publishers worldwide and check your work for international distribution opportunities even before publication.
• We advise you individually on all questions relating to your copyrights, the publishing contract, rights of use, Creative Commons licenses or other legal details.
• We support you in obtaining rights of use for images, texts or other third-party materials.
• We negotiate licenses in Germany and abroad – professionally, legally compliant and with the aim of helping your book achieve the greatest possible reach.
• We take care of the legally compliant handling of all licensing transactions, from the drafting of contracts to the settlement of royalties.
• We respond to your individual needs and react flexibly to new requirements even after publication of your work, be it through additional agreements or the restructuring of rights.
• If required, we can provide you with comprehensive information, guidelines and sample templates ito help you legally protect your work.
• We will signpost you to the right contacts if questions arise that are outside our area of responsibility.
