Are you passionate about improving care for people living with lymphoedema? Here at the BLS we aim to raise awareness and understanding of lymphoedema, helping to reduce the impact on patients’ lives.
Become a Trustee of the British Lymphology Society for a 3-year term:
Rachael, who has been a trustee for 5 years now, said:
"I wanted to meet with expert lymphoedema practitioners and work with them to improve my knowledge and help expand what is already a vibrant and active society and I am really enthused by the energy within the team."
Opportunities to put skills to good use
In addition to Clinicians working with people living with lymphoedema, we are particularly seeking people with skills in fundraising, marketing, publishing, social media, public relations, or charity governance, who may be a BLS member or non-member and have an interest in supporting the charity's work.
If you can give a few hours of your time each week and would like to join the team of motivated and hard-working individuals and help to strengthen the society and the care of people with, or at risk of, lymphoedema, please take the time to look at the Trustee role description and get in touch for a chat.
BLS members can nominate themselves for a Board position, with a supporting statement from a seconder. The nomination form can be found here. If you have any questions and would like to speak to a board member before applying, please email admin@thebls.com.
If you know a non-member with the enthusiasm and skills that can help the BLS charity, please ask them to contact admin@thebls.com to discuss becoming a co-opted Trustee.
