Guest Terms
These booking terms and conditions (“Guest Terms”) set out the basis on which Little Monkey (as defined below) will provide accommodation and other products and services at its Hostels to Guests. By making a Booking (as defined below) the Guest agrees to comply, and to ensure that all Guests comply, with these Booking Terms. Expressions have the following meanings:
“Guest” means the Customer and/or any other people included in a Booking;
“Hostel” means Little Monkey Hostel.
“No-Show” means a guest not arriving at the hostel on the date of arrival of their reservation without prior notice.
Bookings
Guests may make reservations in advance through Little Monkey Hostel’s website or third party booking websites on which the hostel is advertised.
Guests are required to provide identification (ID, Passport or Driver’s license) and information including, but not limited to, their name, surname, address, phone and email address. In case no ID or authorised credit card can be presented, Little Monkey reserves the right to deny entrance to the hostel.
Reservations are not required. Guests may make bookings on arrival by visiting the Little Monkey Hostel’s website and paying online with credit card. (We do not accept cash or PIN payments). However, Little Monkey can not guarantee the availability of rooms or other facilities for such bookings. Little Monkey Hostel does not accept walk-in reservations after 8pm.
Arrivals and Departures
On your arrival day (check-in day), your room will be available from 3 pm. If you need to arrive earlier, you can drop off your luggage anytime from 8 am for a small fee and collect it before 8 pm on the same day.
On your departure day, rooms must be vacated by 10 am. Please ensure you and belongings are out of the room by this time. A late check-out may be arranged for a small fee, allowing you to stay until 12 pm (noon). Since late check-out is subject to availability, please contact us in advance to confirm.
If you’re late to check out, you’ll be charged for another night, so make sure your alarm is set!
All guests can stay up to 14 days within a 28-day period.
Check In
Prior to your arrival, you will receive an email with a link to check-in online. Simply follow the instructions on this link to complete your online check-in process. We highly recommend checking in advance to save time when you arrive. It only takes 1 minute!
If you arrive between 3pm and 8pm, our team will be available to assist you.
For arrivals after 8pm, it is essential to complete the online check-in and pay any outstanding balance by 8pm. Your door code will then be sent to you by email and/or SMS at 8pm. Please note, you will not be able to enter the building if the online check-in is incomplete, completed after 8pm, or if there is any unpaid balance.
When you check in and accept our terms, you are confirming that the information you are providing is true.
Age Restrictions
- Guests over 18 are welcome to book a bed in a pod room. (shared)
- Guests under 18 are welcome to stay in a private room only. A completed parental consent form is required at check in, along with a copy of the parent’s ID or passport.
- Guests under 18 accompanied by a legal guardian/parent can stay in private room only. The legal guardian/parent must stay in the same room. If relationship status is not clear, a completed parental consent form must be presented.
Should there be any doubt regarding the authenticity of the parental consent form, we reserve the right to call the parent/legal guardian to confirm their identity.
Room Allocation
Groups must book the whole room. Group members are not allowed to stay in shared rooms with other guests that are not part of the group.
Please note that our pod rooms are mixed gender unless a ladies-only room is booked.
Payment and Fees
Please be aware that we only accept card payments for all bookings. Little Monkey Hostel is a cashless property. We do not accept cash payments.
Rates and prices quoted when making reservations only apply to accommodation unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply including, but not limited to food, drinks and other services Little Monkey Hostel might be offering.
Any Additional charges must be paid as they are incurred.
A City Tax of €3.25 per person per night is included in the room rate. You do not need to pay extra on arrival.
Rentals
Towel rental is optional, and you’re welcome to bring your own. Towels are included with stays in Double or Twin rooms. You can rent a towel when booking, during online check in or upon arrival (depending on the time). If you rent a towel, please leave it on the hook by your bed when checking out. A €10 fee will apply if the towel is not returned.
Bikes are available for rent, subject to availability. You can rent a bike upon arrival (depending on the time and availability). When renting a bike, you are fully responsible for it during the rental period—from the moment you receive the key until you return it. Any damage incurred during this period is your responsibility. In the event of theft, a €250 fee will be charged. We strongly recommend ensuring the bike is properly locked at all times to minimise the risk of additional fees.
By renting a bike, you also agree to these additional terms.
Cancellations
- Non-refundable: This rate offers no flexibility on your booking along with a discount. Non-refundable bookings can not be changed or cancelled. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Flexible rate: This rate offers flexibility on your booking up to 5 days prior to arrival. Booking can be cancelled free of charge up 5 days before arrival. The total price of the reservation will be charged 5 days prior to arrival. If you notify us any less than 5 days before your arrival date, or in case of a no-show, you will not be entitled to a refund.
If you arrive a day late without informing the hostel, we will try and find you a bed, but this may not be in the same room type booked and may incur extra charges. Where the Guest fails to give sufficient notice of cancellation or fails to arrive (no-show) at the Hostel, the entire Booking will be deemed cancelled and the Guest must pay the Hostel an amount equal to the Charges for the full stay. The hostel shall be entitled to collect such amount from the Guest’s credit or debit card used to make the Booking without further notice to the Guest.
Little Monkey Hostel may at any time cancel the Booking without liability if:
- The payment details provided by the Guest are invalid and the Guest fails to provide alternative valid details;
- The information provided by the Guest in relation to the Booking is misleading or false (for example in relation to the identity of any Guest or the purpose of the stay);
- The Hostel reasonably believes that fulfilling the Booking might negatively affect the reputation or operation of the hostel.
- In addition, Little Monkey Hostel may at any time cancel the Booking if the hostel or the room(s)/bed(s) booked become unavailable due to circumstances outside the hostel’s control (including without limitation, extreme adverse weather, industrial action, epidemic or pandemic, any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, natural disaster), in which case the hostel will (at its election) either offer the Guest a refund or the option to rebook for a different date(s) (subject to availability) at no additional charge.
Special Offers and Packages
Little Monkey Hostel run a variety of special offers and packages throughout the year. These are open to all guests except group bookings to which different terms apply.
All special packages are Non-refundable once the booking has been completed. Please feel free to contact our team if you have any doubt.
Quiet Hours
From 11 pm to 8 am, we ask all guests to respect quiet hours in rooms and corridors. Please avoid making any noise during this time. Failure to maintain peace at night may result in a fine and/or immediate ejection from the property.
Smoking and gathering is forbidden in front of and in the vicinity of the hostel from 11 pm to 8 am.
Guest-Only Policy
Friends and family are more than welcome in our lounge and bar. However, non-guests are not allowed to access the rooms, corridors, toilets, or showers at any time. You will be charged for any visitors you bring onto the property. You will be responsible for the behaviour of any visitors you bring to the property and will be charged €50 for each non-guest brought into the hostel, regardless of how long they’ve stayed inside the building.
If a non-guest is found in the property, they must leave immediately, even if you have paid the fine. By booking with us, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to charge you if you bring a non-guest onto the property.
No Food Allowed
For hygienic reasons, bringing food into the property is strictly forbidden! You are welcome to consume your own food in the lounge during opening hours only (subject to availability).
A €50 fee per guest will apply each time you are found entering the building with food. Any additional cleaning required for rooms, corridors, and shared facilities due to disorderly conduct will be charged accordingly. By booking with us, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to charge you if you bring food onto the property.
Additional Cleaning Charges
Any additional cleaning required for rooms, corridors, and shared facilities due to disorderly conduct such as diarrhea, vomit, and other body fluids in areas where they don’t belong will be charged accordingly. A fixed €250 fee applies for all cases. If the cost of cleaning and repair exceeds this amount, you will be charged the additional cost to restore the area to a stain- and smell-free condition.
By booking with us, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to charge you for any necessary cleaning or repairs.
Deposits
For groups, a damage deposit of €25 per guest is required. The deposit will be automatically pre-authorised on your credit card once your booking is confirmed. If the pre-authorisation cannot be completed, the deposit must be processed on arrival using a valid credit or debit card.
If we are unable to complete the deposit, you will need to provide an alternative card. Failure to provide a valid card for the deposit on arrival will result in cancellation without a refund.
The deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours after check-out, provided no damage is found during inspection, no fines are issued, and no house rules or terms have been violated.
If the deposit does not fully cover any damages or fines, we reserve the right to charge additional amounts. By booking with us, you agree to this policy.
No Alcohol, Smoking, Drugs & Weapons
Due to our bar license, guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol onto our premises. If you are found entering the hostel & bar with alcohol, you will be charged €50 and all alcohol will be confiscated until you leave the building. Alcohol is available in the bar and can be consumed there only. No food or drink may be taken out of the lounge & bar.
Smoking (including E-cigarettes) is not permitted anywhere at the hostel building. Any guest found smoking inside the building will be fined €250 and asked to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued for the stay. Failure to adhere to the non-smoking policy shall result in the Guest being charged for any and all costs incurred by the hostel in cleaning the room (including, but not limited to, fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings) and restoring it to a smoke-free environment, as well as all and any cost incurred by the response of Fire department.
Drugs (including weed) or weapons must under no circumstances be brought into the hostel and will result in immediate ejection. In any event the relevant authorities will be notified. Any guest found using, or in the possession of drugs or with weapons inside the building will be fined €250 and asked to leave the premises immediately. A refund will not be issued for the stay.
Cameras
Your comfort and security are our highest priorities, and we have CCTV installed in our public spaces. We will use the recordings to identify anyone responsible for violating our rules. If necessary, we will also provide them to the police.
General House Rules
- Guests are required to conduct themselves in a reasonable and responsible manner at all times when on hostel property and must not act in any way which may disturb other guests. Any guest who, in the opinion of our staff, compromises the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff, or local residents will be asked to leave the hostel premises and will not be given a refund.
- Please earphones if you watch video content or listen to music on your electronic devices.
- Any longer phone calls should be taken outside the shared room.
- Bringing bicycles onto the property is strictly prohibited. If a guest is found bringing bicycles inside, a fine will be applied, and they will be required to remove the bicycle immediately.
- Please keep your personal items organised in your room in a reasonable, clean and tidy state, limiting your personal belongings to the minimum.
- Please use bed sheets and pillowcase all the time, a fine will apply if the bed sheets are removed.
- Guests are not permitted to throw items out of the window, hang clothes or fabrics out of the windows or doors or call from the window.
- You must ensure that your room door is always closed. The only people that will have access to your room other than you and/or your roommate(s), is the hostel staff.
- Emergency exits and stairs may only be used in emergencies. In the event of improper use, the hostel accepts no liability, and any costs incurred as a consequence must be settled at the hostel.
- Tampering with fire alarms, fire extinguishers and other damage to the property will result in a fine and termination of reservation with no refund.
- It is your responsibility to familiarise with the fire escape evacuation routes provided behind your room door.
- We have a zero-tolerance policy for verbal or physical aggression and violence towards staff or other guests. Such behaviour will result in a fine and immediate termination of the reservation without refund, and the authorities will be notified.
- Storing electric scooters or bikes, as well as charging of their batteries is not permitted on our premises.
- Little Monkey Hostel staff reserve the right to enter any room at any time for any purpose.
- Guests will be liable for any damage caused to hostel property during their stay and will bear all associated costs.
- Guests are encouraged to report any pre-existing damage immediately.
A room’s maximum occupancy is limited to the number of beds and paying guests. For example:
- Rooms booked for single use is for that individual only. Bringing any additional guests into the room will result in additional charges and removal from the property as per our “guest only” policy.
- Swapping beds or rooms is not permitted. Any guest who swaps beds or rooms without first receiving approval from reception will be charged a fine, which must be paid before checkout.
- A 4-Pod room can accommodate up to 4 paying guests. However, it cannot be used for 4 guests if the booking was made for fewer than 4 people.
- A Twin and Double room can only host 2 paying guests.
Please note the following are not allowed at our property:
- Anyone under 18 years of age without an adult or parental consent form,
- Stag & Hen parties in shared rooms. All Stag/Hen parties must take entire rooms,
- Groups of Football fans in the city for international or national matches.
Little Monkey Hostel encourages the use of common sense. If any infraction occurs that is not mentioned above or does not have a specific fine listed, a fine may still be applied. Depending on the seriousness of the infraction, immediate ejection from the premises may occur, and no refund will be issued.
Guest Kitchen
Our guest kitchen is available for guests from 8 am to 10 pm. You can only use the kitchen during this time. The kitchen is closed outside these hours. Please remember a few simple rules:
- The kitchen must be kept clean and organised at all times.
- Please wash, dry and return used items to the cupboards.
- Respect others by cleaning up immediately after use.
- You may store your own food in the Guest fridges & cupboards, provided it is clearly labeled with your name and departure date.
- Little Monkey Hostel staff will remove unlabelled or expired food several times a week, as well as food belonging to guests who have checked out.
- The kitchen is not available for use by groups travelling together.
- We kindly request that no outside drinks be brought onto the premises. If you would like to enjoy a drink while at the bar, we invite you to purchase from our selection available at the bar.
Your comfort and security are our highest priority. We have CCTV set up in our public spaces, including the kitchen. Please be mindful of and respect these rules and each other. Failure to follow the kitchen rules may result in a fine.
Guest Hygiene and Consideration of Others
To ensure a comfortable environment for all, guests are expected to maintain a reasonable standard of personal hygiene. In rare cases where hygiene issues significantly impact the experience of others (e.g., strong body odor), management reserves the right to address the matter directly with the guest. If the issue persists and affects other guests’ comfort, we may ask the guest to leave the property without a refund.
No Discrimination
Any discriminatory behaviour and/or harassment of groups or individuals, in particular based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion/belief, age, appearance or social origin, is not permitted at Little Monkey Hostel and will result in immediate ejection with no refund given.
No Pets
No pets or animals are allowed at Little Monkey Hostel.
Personal Belongings
Each bed is equipped with a personal locker for your valuables. It is your responsibility to ensure that your belongings are always secure. Little Monkey Hostel accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage to guests’ property. You can either bring your own padlock, purchase one at our reception or from our vending machine.
Please use only the locker assigned to your bed. If we find during inspections that you are also using a locker assigned to another bed, you will be fined €50.
Lost Objects
Items lost or left behind in the hostel which are found by the guest, must be returned to the hostel staff as soon as possible. Little Monkey Hostel acquires ownership of objects, of which the rightful owner has not reported to the hostel within 30 days of stay.
If the hostel sends objects left behind by the guest to the guest, this shall take place entirely at the risk, responsibility and expense of the guest. The guest must arrange a pick up during hostel opening hours. Little Monkey Hostel shall never be held to proceed with despatch.
Receipts and Bills
On your checkout day, a copy of your bill will be automatically sent to your email. If you do not receive it or need another copy, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to resend it.
Liability
Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Little Monkey Hostel’s liability remains, always, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us.
Personal Data
Little Monkey Hostel will only store and use information you supply to us, or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out a contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers that we make available from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such information, please let us know by contacting us.
Errors and Omissions
Any omission or error in sales literature, web pages/sites, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgment, dispatch note, invoice, or other documents issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.
Discretion
All bookings are subject to availability and Little Monkey Hostel reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
Refunds
In the event of Force Majeure (governmental action, transportation interruption, terrorist attack, acts of God…) affecting your booking, Little Monkey Hostel is unable to refund customers, and we reserve the right to receive any outstanding payments in connection to your confirmed booking.
Extension leads & adaptors
The use of extension leads is prohibited at the hostel. Please ensure the adaptors you use are quality assured.
Accessibility
At Little Monkey Hostel, we embrace diversity and inclusivity. We welcome guests of all races, nationalities, genders, gender identities, ages, and abilities. To ensure that we can provide the best possible assistance, we ask our guests to inform us at the time of booking if any guest has specific requirements due to a disability. Your comfort and satisfaction are important to us, and we are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Group Terms
Accommodation
Additional group terms apply to all groups.
Due to the layout of the building and depending on the number of people in the group it is not always possible to allocate the whole group on the same floor. We will, however, do our best to place them as close together as possible.
We do not offer coach parking.
Payment Policy
- Non-refundable rates: Non-refundable bookings cannot be changed or cancelled. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Flexible rates: 20% of the total amount is due immediately after booking confirmation. This is non-refundable. The balance equal to the remaining 80% of the amount is due within 30 days before arrival.
Without a deposit or balance payment paid within the time frame above, the booking will be automatically cancelled. All payments must be made by card or bank transfer in EUR to our designated account. You are responsible to pay all the bank charges associated with such payments. Bank transfers will be accepted up to 30 days before arrival – If you are late paying your balance or add extra beds less than 30 days before the arrival date, we will request a payment by card. Any extra charges must be paid either as they are incurred or at the time of balance payment.
Cancellations
Modifications and cancellations are only allowed with Flexible rates.
1. Full cancellation:
- Up until 30 days before arrival date (the 20% deposit is non-refundable).
2. Partial cancellation:
You can decrease the initial amount of beds booked by up to 10% per night. The deadline to make these changes is the last payment date – 30 days before arrival.
To cancel your booking, you must inform our group reservation team
Partial cancellations and amendments are subject to date and rate restrictions. Examples of these are minimum stays as well as dates that closed for arrival or departure and changes in price.
Little Monkey Hostel reserves the right to cancel a booking if:
- There is a reasonable operational reason for us to do so.
- The booking may be prejudicial to the reputation of the Company or the Hostel.
- The information provided by the Group in relation to the Booking is misleading or false (for example in relation to the identity of any Group or the purpose of the stay);
- We become aware of an adverse change in your financial status, and we reasonably consider that you may not be able to meet your payment obligations under the contract.
In such circumstances, we will issue a full refund, but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.
Deposits

Groups must check in together before 8 pm. If the main booker is not present, the group will not be allowed to check in. We are also unable to check-in a group until full payment has been made and the deposit has been pre-authorised.
We will accommodate the number of people in the room types booked and confirmed via email. If more people arrive, they will be asked to pay the available rate at check-in, if there are private rooms available.
On your departure day, rooms must be vacated by 10 am. Please ensure your entire group and belongings are out of the room by this time. A late check-out may be arranged for a small fee, allowing you to stay until 12 pm (noon). Since late check-out is subject to availability, please contact us in advance to confirm.

Reception is always available, at the location, phone or via WhatsApp so there is always a member of the team to help you and your group with any questions.
In House
- Bringing food into the property is strictly forbidden. CCTV footage will be reviewed daily and offenders will be fined without notice.
- Due to our bar license, guests cannot bring their own alcohol onto the premises. If you are found entering with alcohol, you will be charged €50 and all alcohol will be confiscated until you leave the building at checkout. Alcohol is available in the bar and can be consumed there only.
- Any guest found smoking in the building will be fined €250 and asked to leave the premises immediately; no refund will be offered.
- Any guest found using or in the possession of drugs in the building will be fined €250 and asked to leave the premises immediately; no refund will be offered.
- The kitchen is not available for use by groups travelling together.
- We can’t accept the delivery of packed lunches/tickets ordered by external companies at our hostel. If you’re looking for lunches or tickets for your group, we can arrange them – just let us know.
- Please make sure guests in your group have adequate travel insurance. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
These terms exist to make sure that your group and Little Monkey enter a relationship of mutual understanding and to make sure that Little Monkey is a safe, happy, and welcoming place to stay.
By confirming a group reservation at Little Monkey Hostel, you are agreeing to the Guest and Group terms.
