Bookings
The easiest way to make a booking with us is by simply clicking here
Surprises can be fun—just not when it comes to your booking! Please take a moment to review our Guest Terms & Conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. We believe in transparency and want you to have all the information you need.
If you have any questions, our team is here to help. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.
If you have booked through our website:
- If you have booked a Non-Refundable rate, the booking cannot be changed or cancelled.
- If you have booked a Flexible rate, you can change or cancel your booking up to 5 days prior to arrival.
If you booked with a partner e.g. Booking.com, HostelWorld, Expedia, etc. you should contact them regarding cancellations or changes.
- Guests over 18 are welcome to book a bed in a pod room. (shared)
- Guests under 18 are welcome to stay in a private room only. A completed parental consent form is required at check in, along with a copy of the parent’s ID or passport.
- Guests under 18 accompanied by a legal guardian/parent can stay in private room only. The legal guardian/parent must stay in the same room. If relationship status is not clear, a completed parental consent form must be presented.
Should there be any doubt regarding the authenticity of the parental consent form, we reserve the right to call the parent/legal guardian to confirm their identity.
You’ll need to have a credit or debit card (iDEAL) to guarantee your booking. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Diners club, JCB, Union Pay, Amex, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Please note: We don’t take cash!
Yes. Everyone staying in Enschede must pay €3.25 per night City Tax.
However, City Tax is always included as “extra” with your booking. You do not need to pay extra on arrival.
Unfortunately, our shared facilities are not suitable for babies or really young children below 4 years.
It can get quite busy, especially during summer and on weekends, so we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
If you choose to walk in, please note that you’ll still need to book online (pending availability), as we require your details to confirm the reservation.
It can take up to 10 minutes for confirmation emails to arrive (check your junk folder!). if you still don’t have the confirmation and you booked directly on our website, please contact us stating your name & arrival date and we will resend it to you.
If you booked with a partner e.g. Booking.com, HostelWorld, Expedia, etc. please contact them directly to resend your booking confirmation.
Check in & Check out
Prior to your arrival, you will receive an email with a link to check-in online. Simply follow the instructions on this link to complete your online check-in process. We highly recommend checking in advance to save time when you arrive. It only takes 1 minute!
If you arrive between 3pm and 8pm, our team will be available to assist you.
For arrivals after 8pm, it is essential to complete the online check-in and pay any outstanding balance by 8pm. Your door code will then be sent to you by email and/or SMS at 8pm. Please note, you will not be able to enter the building if the online check-in is incomplete, completed after 8pm, or if there is any unpaid balance.

From 3pm to 8pm.
On your arrival day (check-in day), your room will be available from 3 pm.
If you need to arrive earlier, you can drop off your luggage anytime from 8 am for a small fee and collect it before 8 pm on the same day. Just give us a call or send us a WhatsApp if you’re in front of the door and we’ll help you.
Before 10am.
On your departure day, rooms must be vacated by 10 am. Please ensure you and belongings are out of the room by this time. A late check-out may be arranged for a small fee, allowing you to stay until 12 pm (noon). Since late check-out is subject to availability, please contact us in advance to confirm.
If you’re late to check out, you’ll be charged for another night, so make sure your alarm is set!
On the evening before your departure day, you will receive an email to complete your check-out online. Follow a few simple steps, and you’re done. You can also use our self-check-out kiosk for a quick and easy check-out process.
Note: If you have rented a towel, please make sure to leave it on the hook by your bed before you leave.
Rooms
Our custom-designed Pods offer a stylish, modern alternative to traditional bunk beds. Each one has panels on three sides and a blackout curtain for privacy. Inside, you’ll have your own light, power outlets, a shelf for your phone or laptop, hooks and a private under-bed locker to keep your belongings safe. We’ve handpicked super comfy mattresses and soft cotton linens to make sure you get an amazing night’s sleep.
You should book a private room. Pick from Twin, Double room or book the whole Pod-room to yourself or group. See private rooms here.
If you are booking beds in a pod-room for more than one person, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be placed in the same room. If you want to be sure to stay in the same room, please contact us prior to booking to check the availability in the same room or book a private room.
Groups must book the whole room. Group members are not allowed to stay in shared rooms with other guests that are not part of the group.
Plenty of shared showers and some music to sing along (ladies & gents separated) conveniently located outside the rooms, on the same floor. We like to keep it clean without bothering your sleep.
Yes we do! Please note that our rooms available for wheelchair users are located on the ground floor. To ensure you are allocated the appropriate room, it is essential to contact our team in advance.
Yes, we supply all your linen, bedding and pillows for all rooms. The beds are made beforehand with fresh cotton bed linen for you.
Yes! Every pod and room comes with one locker per guest where you can store your items securely. You are welcome to bring your own padlock, purchase one at the reception or from our vending machine. Our under bed locker is 85cm x 75cm x 25cm in size.
Towels are included with stays in Double or Twin rooms. You can rent a towel when booking, during online check in or upon arrival (depending on the time). If you rent a towel, please leave it on the hook by your bed when checking out. A €10 fee will apply if the towel is not returned.
Every room gets a thorough cleaning before you check in.
We’ll vacuum and empty your bin daily. If you are staying longer than 5 nights your bed sheets are also exchanged after the fifth night. If your towel ends up on the floor in pod rooms, it’ll be taken away; in private rooms, it’ll be replaced.
We do ask though to keep your personal items with you or in the locker, specially after your fifth night so that our housekeeping team can exchange your bed sheets. Remember to keep it fresh, if you feel like you need the sheets exchanged anytime please let us know.
Rooms are always mixed unless you book a ‘Ladies’ room. Showers & toilets are always separated though.
Door Code
To unlock the doors, simply enter your unique Door Code, and press the ✓ button.
Make sure:
- You have an active reservation.
- You are entering the right Door Code provided for your booking.
- You are trying to access the right door.
- It is after 3pm (check-in day) and before 10am (check-out day).

3 doors.
Front Door : This door is always open during reception hours so you don’t need to unlock it, just push it. The door is locked when the reception is closed. With your Door Code you can easily open it anytime for the duration of your stay.
Main Door : This is the door between the reception and the rooms area. This door is always locked but with your Door Code you can easily open it anytime for the duration of your stay. Note: Access beyond this door is for guests only.
Room Door : You’ll have access to your room with your Door Code for the duration of your stay.
Note: The Door Code will only work after 3pm and will expire on your checkout day at 10 am.
The Door Code is unique for each guest and it is valid for the duration of your stay. It will expire on check-out day at 10 am.
Groups

Additional group terms apply to all groups.
Groups must book the whole room. Group members are not allowed to stay in shared rooms with other guests that are not part of the group.
Due to the layout of the building and depending on the number of people in the group it is not always possible to allocate the whole group on the same floor. We will, however, do our best to place them as close together as possible.
For groups, a damage deposit of €25 per guest is required. The deposit will be automatically pre-authorised on your credit card once your booking is confirmed. If the pre-authorisation cannot be completed, the deposit must be processed on arrival using a valid credit or debit card.
If we are unable to complete the deposit, you will need to provide an alternative card. Failure to provide a valid card for the deposit on arrival will result in cancellation without a refund.
The deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours after check-out, provided no damage is found during inspection, no fines are issued, and no house rules or terms have been violated.
If the deposit does not fully cover any damages or fines, we reserve the right to charge additional amounts. By booking with us, you agree to this policy.
Groups must check in together before 8 pm. If the main booker is not present, the group will not be allowed to check in.
Due to our bar license, guests cannot bring their own alcohol onto the premises. If you are found entering with alcohol, you will be charged €50 and all alcohol will be confiscated until you leave the building at checkout. Alcohol is available in the bar, during opening hours, and can be consumed there only.
Location
If you’re coming from the airport, take a train to Enschede Station. From there it’s a 5-minute walk to the hostel.
Our address is Stadsgravenstraat 17, 7511 EP Enschede. We are located right next to the Oude Markt.
We don’t have guest parking since we’re right in the heart of the city, where cars aren’t allowed. The good news: there are plenty of paid parking options just a short walk away! The closest options are:

If you choose to park in the city, it is at your own risk. Little Monkey is not responsible for any guest’s vehicles or payment regarding parking.
It is not possible to park bikes inside the hostel. But don’t worry — there are secure and convenient bike parking facilities just a 1-minute ride from us.

Services
Yes, providing it arrives whilst you are staying here. Just let us know if you’re expecting a delivery. If something comes before or after your stay, we will not accept it.

Yes, we offer bikes for rent. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee bikes for everyone, so we recommend booking in advance.

No sorry, we love those furry friends – but we do not allow pets to stay here.
Body, Hair and Hand wash are all provided.
In case you forget you can also purchase dental kits (toothbrush + toothpaste), deodorants and shaving kits from our vending machine.
Hairdryers are available in all showers.
Friends are more than welcome in our lounge & bar only. (consumption is required)
However, non-guests are not allowed to access the rooms, corridors, toilets, or showers at any time. You will be responsible for the behaviour of any visitors you bring to the property and will be charged €50 for each non-guest brought into the hostel, regardless of how long they’ve stayed inside the building. If a non-guest is found in the property, they must leave immediately, even if you have paid the fine. By booking with us, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to charge you if you bring a non-guest onto the property.
Smoking (including E-cigarettes) is not allowed anywhere on the property.
Reception opening times varies depending on the season and occupancy. Our services are fully digital so you can always access the building during your stay. Despite that, in case of emergencies, you can reach us by calling +31 ‪85 400 4488‬
Food & Drinks
We do not offer breakfast; however, we would be happy to recommend some great local options. Alternatively, you’re welcome to prepare your own breakfast in our fully equipped Guest Kitchen from 8am.
For large groups, breakfast can be arranged upon request, subject to availability.
Yes we do. The kitchen is open for guests to use from 8am to 10pm.

Please note:
- You can only use the kitchen during this time. The kitchen is not available to be used outside these hours. Please plan accordingly.
- The kitchen is not available for use by groups.
- The kitchen may be unavailable in some cases. Please check with us upon arrival regarding its availability.
- Please respect other guests and clean immediately after use.
Bringing food into the rooms is not allowed. You can buy and consume it at the bar only.
Please note that CCTV footage is reviewed daily; any violation of this rule will result in a fine. Additionally, charges will apply for any extra cleaning of rooms, corridors, or shared facilities required due to disorderly conduct.

For late-night snacks, our 24/7 vending machines are always available for a quick snack.
Yes we do! The Jungle is our Cafe, a Bar and a Lounge too. This is the perfect spot to kick off your night out or unwind with a refreshing Dutch beer. Opening times of the bar may vary. The lounge is open daily from 8am to 10pm.
