About
Fat Cat Software is a one-man software company run by me, Brian Webster, out of San Jose, CA. I started out programming for the Mac back in high school and continued on to get a computer science degree from Rice University. After graduating and working as a programmer for a few years, my side projects on the Mac grew to where I could do it full time, which I started in 2006. I’ve been making software for the Mac ever since.
My goal for my software is to help people solve problems with their computers, specifically in the area of photo management with PowerPhotos. I’ve accumulated a lot of expertise in the area in the past couple decades, and I want PowerPhotos to act as a way to manifest that expertise in software form. Not all problems can be solved only by software, so working with customers allows me to help both assist them with whatever isn’t directly handled by PowerPhotos, but also add more to PowerPhotos over time to make it ever more capable. I find this iteration process to be very satisfying, and hope I can continue the process for the foreseeable future.
