Ashley Scott is the General Manager for Canadian Cattle Identification Agency (CCIA), providing industry-led, producer-focused traceability solutions for regulated livestock in Canada. CCIA is a non-profit organization and the Responsible Administrator for beef cattle, bison and sheep; with goats and cervids as potential new species,
Under Ashley’s leadership, CCIA is active within the livestock industry building trust with producers, promoting current traceability reporting requirements, and educating stakeholders.
Ashley holds extensive experience in the non-profit sector, complemented by vital industry connections and a strong educational background in management. She also served over four years as the Executive Director of Alberta Lamb Producers, demonstrating her deep commitment to sustainable agriculture. Throughout her term, she worked tirelessly to create opportunities for local farmers and ensure the long-term success of lamb producers in Alberta.
Ashley is committed to supporting traceability through research and development, strengthening partnerships, and promoting best practices. Together these efforts will help position Canada as a global leader in livestock traceability contributing to the industry’s success and reputation worldwide.
