The Canadian Livestock Tracking System (CLTS)
The Canadian Livestock Tracking System (CLTS) is a national database where producers and other industry partners record information from each animal’s RFID tag. When a tag is scanned, its data goes directly to the correct CLTS account, where users can report key details like animal ID, premises ID and animal movements.
CCIA manages the CLTS to support animal and food health, and to ensure every animal’s history can be traced from farm to abattoir.
To support industry users, CCIA offers help through its Client Support Team and a full set of 24/7 online resources in the CLTS Resource Centre.
