HOSTING EVENTS ON WVLT PROPERTIES

NOTE: The Wallkill Valley Land Trust (WVLT) properties cannot be closed at any time for any event.
WVLT has continued to balance the needs of all our users with those groups wishing to hold an organized event or special activity on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, Joppenbergh Mountain, and Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary. Please read our requirements for holding events on our properties, which describes the approval process as well as the guidelines for use.
If you are hosting a published event on one of WVLT’s properties which will be less than 25 people total (event staff and participants combined) we still recommend registering the event with us so we can assure there are no conflicting large events in the section of the trail you intend to use and we can update you if there are trail closures in the area.
The buttons below contain the WVLT Event Policy for the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, and the WVLT Event Application for the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.
If you are interested in hosting an event on either our 118-acre Joppenbergh Mountain, or our 56-acre Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary, please contact our Coordinator of Land Stewardship, Cara Gentry.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Ulster County by conserving lands of scenic, agricultural, ecological, recreational, and cultural significance.
