Scriptural Prayers for the Persecuted and the Global Church

(Voice of the Persecuted) We invite you to join us tonight in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.

2 Corinthians 1:5 “For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”

  • Pray for those suffering for Christ to be abundantly comforted by Him and other saints.

2 Cor. 1:9 “Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.”

  • Pray believers will rely on God for everything and have more faith.
  • Pray believers do not have a spirit of fear, but trust God knowing all things work together for good.

1 Cor. 1:10 “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us.”

  • Pray for God to deliver those being hunted down and targeted.

1 Cor. 1:11 “As you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”

  • Pray for the Intercessors. Not to be weary in well-doing, knowing that their prayers matter and knowing what to pray.

1 Cor. 1:21 “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ…”

  • Pray that those who are persecuted stand firm in their faith in spite of much pressure to deny it.

1 Cor. 1:22 “He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

  • Pray believers walk in the Holy Spirit and operate in spiritual gifts.
  • Pray persecuted Christians remind themselves of the glory that awaits them in heaven

1 Cor. 2:14 “But thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”

  • Pray Christians will have thankful hearts and be filled with joy, knowing they are always triumphant through the Messiah.
  • Pray for Christ’s ambassadors be anointed and bold to spread the gospel everywhere especially where it is most needed.

1 Cor. 2:17 “Unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.”

  • Pray those preaching the Word or otherwise representing God for money be exposed and replaced by those who are sincere.

Proverbs 15:7 “The lips of the wise spread knowledge, not so the hearts of fools.”

  • Pray Christians spread the knowledge and wisdom of God to each other as well as unbelievers.

Proverbs 15:4 “The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.”

  • Pray that the Saints know how to bring healing to those grieving, depressed and discouraged. Pray they will speak words of physical healing as well.

Again, we want to lift-up these persecuted witnesses to the Lord:  

Leah Sharibu, a prisoner of Boko Haram since 2018. Pray for her release.

Pastor Wang Yi to be released from prison, for his family and for the church.

Pastors Haile Nayzgi and Dr. Kiflu GebremeskelIt is unconscionable that these two men, along with Pastor Meron Gebreselasie who was arrested a month later, remain imprisoned under horrible conditions in Eritrea.

The Harvest: “37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

What is Persecution Watch?

Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God. The group meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night at 9pm Eastern time in the United States (please check your time zone). Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted, and the two missions became one. Brother Blaine passed into glory on December 26, 2019. It was truly a blessing for all of us to serve alongside this dear man of God. The prayer mission of Persecution Watch remains an important part of our mission. The Voice of the Persecuted is committed to continuing the prayer conference call for the persecuted along with the dedicated Persecution Watch prayer warrior team.

Prior to the passing of Brother Blaine, he confirmed the passing of the torch as prayer conference call leader to Nadia Dybvik. Nadia has a burdened heart for the persecuted and is a prayer warrior standing in the gap for them. She joined the Persecution Watch prayer team in 2015 and has been part of the core ever since. Before becoming the prayer call leader, she served in the role of prayer moderator since 2016. Blaine chose Nadia for her faithfulness to pray for the persecuted and her strong commitment to the Persecution Watch mission. We are blessed not only with her gift of prayer, but her genuine love for every brother and sister in Christ that comes on the call to pray. May the Lord continue to bless Nadia, the prayer warrior team in the mission and their personal lives.

“Pray for us” is the number one request that we hear from the persecuted. As the members of the first century Church, the Holy Spirit moved them to pray. We too must continue to serve those suffering persecution by lifting them up to the Lord through prayer.

On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters join the conference call and share the trials they are facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer. Time will be reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.

Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone.

We welcome all who desire to pray for the persecuted church and consider it a joy to pray together with you. HALLELUJAH, He is risen indeed!

(Voice of the Persecuted) Father God, may all glory and honor be Yours! We thank you for the gift of Salvation through our faith in Christ so that we may never be separated from You. Thank you for the many blessings you bestow on us. May our praises be forever on our lips even in our afflictions.

1 Corinthians 15:55–58 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

With the Persecuted Church on our hearts

As we rejoice in Christ’s victory over sin and death, let us remember our Christian brothers and sisters across the world who are persecuted, suffering many hardships, and lose their lives solely for their faith.

Father, in Jesus Holy name, we come before you to lift up these dear ones enduring extreme trials. Lord, we ask that You will have mercy on them, strengthen their faith, protect and deliver them from their troubles. Help them to see their struggles are not against flesh and blood but of evil spiritual forces in this battle.

Clothe them with Your belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Protect them against spiritual, emotional, and psychological attacks, to remain focused on truth, faith, prayer, and Your Word so they will be able to stand firm.

Help them to shine Your light and love in the darkness of this fallen world. Give them the courage to endure and boldness to share the gospel even with their persecutors. We pray that their witness and testimonies will open ears and eyes to stir the hearts and minds of the lost. We pray for churches to grow and salvation and for the lost to know that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior.

We pray that the world, particularly the global church, see the truth of what is happening to our persecuted brothers and sisters. Do not let us remain blind to the Body of Christ that is suffering intense persecution. Through the Holy Spirit, we pray that the persecuted will come to know that many Christians all over the world have not forgotten and are praying continually for them.

Thank you, LORD. May Your will be done in their lives and ours. Amen

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Biblical Prayer – Passover Points to Christ

(Voice of the Persecuted) We invite you to join us tonight in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.

Passover season prayers: Freedom from Bondage/Sin, Unleavened Bread/Sanctification, Feast of First Fruits/Resurrection

Exodus 11:4,5: “about midnight I will go throughout Egypt. Every firstborn son of Egypt will die…”

  • Pray for salvation for those still in Egypt (the worldly, those who don’t know Messiah) before the midnight hour.

Exodus 12;14 “This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generation to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD—a lasting ordinance.”

1 Corinthians 11:23,24 “The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

  • Pray Christians will celebrate this festival according to God’s Word, not polluted by Judaism or Paganism.

1 Corinthians 11;25 “In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me’.”

  • Pray the Jewish people accept the new and better covenant with Adonai.

1 Corinthians 11:26 “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

  • Pray for Christians to be bold and use wisdom in spreading the gospel and the message about the Kingdom of God and of salvation by faith in Yeshua.

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

  • Pray that the Jewish people read Isaiah 53 and the end of 52, which is deliberately left out of the weekly readings, and the Holy Spirit would open hearts to understand these words.
  • Pray Yeshua’s punishment, the ultimate sacrifice, that brought us peace would bring supernatural peace to those believers going through persecution and many trials.
  • Pray for supernatural healing for God’s people, both physical and spiritual.

Exodus 13:21 “By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them in their way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.”

  • Pray the people of God will follow the Holy Spirit, day and night, guiding them in God’s path and purpose.

Exodus 14:13 “Moses answered the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again’.”

  • Christians should not have a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Pray against the spirit of fear in the church.
  • Pray Christians stand firm in their faith when pressured, knowing that one day, maybe not in their natural lives, their enemies will be gone forever more.
  •  Pray for supernatural deliverance from their enemies.

Exodus 15:2 “The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.”

  • Pray for a spirit of praise and thanksgiving for all our God has done for us.

Exodus 16:4 “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day…’.”

  • Pray for supernatural provision for God’s people and let them/us not worry about tomorrow’s provision. Give us this day our daily bread.

Numbers 14:8,9 “If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will swallow them up. Their protection is gone, but the LORD with us. Do not be afraid of them,”

  • Pray believers take possession and authority of the territory He has given to us, not looking at any adverse circumstances. Yeshua has already won the victory!

Again, we want to lift-up these persecuted witnesses to the Lord:

Continuing Prayer for the Persecuted in the Psalms

(Voice of the Persecuted) We invite you to join us tonight in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.

Psalm 108:1 “My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.”

  • Pray for unwavering faith during trials of persecution.

Psalm 108:3 “I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.”

  • Pray for a spirit of praise, with joy and song among the hostile people among them. Let them be a witness of God’s goodness and glory.

Psalm 108:6 “Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.”

  • Pray for deliverance from the enemy.

Psalm 109:2 “For wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.”

  • Pray that every lie be exposed and truth would prevail; pray against spirit of deception.

Psalm 109:3 “With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.”

  • Pray for protection for villages targeted by Muslim groups, especially in Africa.

Psalm 109:8 “May his days be few, may another take his place of leadership.”

  • Pray that wicked leaders be brought down and replaced by more godly ones.

Psalm 109:17 “He loved to pronounce a curse—may it come on him; he found no pleasure in blessing—may it be far from him.”

  • Pray none of the curses spoken or prayed to their demonic god and demons have any effect on believers; let their curses come back on them.

Psalm 109:22 “For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.”

  • Pray for comfort for those who have lost their spouse, children, parents, siblings, and friends.
  • Pray for renewed hope and against discouragement.

Psalms 109:24 “My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.”

  • Pray for supernatural provision.

Psalm 109:29 “My accusers will be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.”

  • Pray that those persecuting believers be defeated and put to shame.
  • Pray that every wicked scheme and plan fail.
  • Pray for a spirit of confusion so they will be divided against one another.

Psalm 112:1 “Praise the LORD!  Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands.”

  • Pray for fear of the LORD among all people.
  • Pray for Christians to have great wisdom for those who truly fear Him.

Psalm 112:2 “His children will be mighty in the land; each generation of the upright will be blessed.”

  • Thank Adonai for bringing salvation to our children and making them mighty in the land.

Psalm 112:3 “Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.”

  • Pray Christians with wealth and riches give generously to ministries and to those around them—to those Adonai instructs them to give.

Psalm 112:8 “His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.”

  • Pray believers will not fear man or circumstances because their eyes are fixed on the eternal, and we read the end of the Book.
  • Pray that all believers know and trust the end of the Book.

Praying For The Time In Which We Live

(Voice of the Persecuted) We invite you to join us tonight in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.

Guided by Scripture let us pray.

  • Pray Christians know who they are fighting against so that we may war in the spirit and not in the flesh.

Matthew 24:7 “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.”

  • Pray believers be protected in various calamities and wars.
  • Pray for supernatural provision.

Isaiah 26:9 “My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.”

  • Pray the people of this world have a seeking and longing after the true God.
  • Pray people repent when judgement comes.

Acts 5:42 “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching or proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.”

  • Pray believers be bold in preaching and teaching the Gospel, being led by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”

  • Pray the light of God from believers draw people to Him and provoke them to jealousy.

Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.”

  • Pray that those persecuted because of their faith in Yeshua have peace that passes understanding in every circumstance.
  • Pray for an increase of faith.

1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

  • Pray believers will not renounce their faith when pressured.
  • Help those working for the Lord to not give up or waver, knowing their labor is not in vain.

Matthew 24:4 “Jesus answered, ‘Watch out that no one deceives you.’.”

  • Pray for the spirit of discernment. Pray for inquiring of the Lord in all decisions.

  • Pray Christians increase in wisdom and understanding.

  • Pray believers spend more intimate time with the Lord; that they may be hidden in the clefts of the rock until the wrath of God subsides.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy —think about such things.”

  • Pray casting down every high thing exalting itself against the knowledge of God and instead think of good things.

Praying in Isaiah 23 and 43 for the Persecuted Church

(Voice of the Persecuted) We invite you to join us tonight in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.

I heard Isaiah 23 and 43 when asking the Lord for prayer points. It seemed strange when I read it, but…

Isaiah 23:1 “The oracle concerning Tyre (Lebanon]. Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for Tyre is destroyed and left without house or harbor.”

  • Pray for believers in Lebanon; they be shielded during war and calamity.
  • Pray for the government of Lebanon, which once was a Christian nation.

Isaiah 23:9 “The LORD Almighty planned it, to bring low the pride of all glory and to humble all who are renowned in the earth.”

  • Pray for the rulers of the world to be humbled and seek Yahovah. 
  • Pray they would not oppress others in their pride.

Isaiah 23:12 “He said, ‘No more of your reveling, O virgin daughter of Sidon, now crushed!  Up, cross over to Cypress; even there you will find no rest’.”

  • Pray the people of God will not rejoice when their enemy falls.
  • Pray those leaders who escape would have no rest until they repent.

Isaiah 23:18 “Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the LORD; they will not be stored up or hoarded.  Her profits will go to those who live before the LORD, for abundant food and fine clothes.”

  • Pray for every provision for God’s people.

Isaiah 43:1 “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.”

  • Pray those persecuted not fear death or man, knowing they belong to the Most High.

Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

  • Pray those persecuted have perfect peace, knowing that the LORD is right there with them.

Isaiah 43:6  “Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—“

  • Pray that those kidnapped or otherwise separated be reunited with their families.

Isaiah 43:7 “Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, who I formed and made.”

  • Pray God be glorified in our actions, in praise and worship.

Isaiah 43:8 “Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.”

  • Pray spiritual eyes and ears be opened.

Isaiah 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.”

  • Pray men may know Yeshua is the way, the truth and the life, and there is no other name under heaven by which men may be saved.”

Isaiah 43:13 “Yes, and from ancient days I am He. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”

  • Pray God’s will be done on earth; pray wicked be saved or brought down; pray righteous be delivered out of the hands of the wicked.

Isaiah 43:18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”

  • Pray believers do not dwell on past mistakes or hurts.

Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

  • Pray for open doors for God’s people to accomplish His purpose.

Prayer Points:

Daniel 3:12 NKJV

There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up.”

  • Pray for those who are persecuted through the laws of the land.

Matthew 10:35-37 NKJV

[35] For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; [36] and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ [37] He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

  • Pray for those who are demanded by their families to return to a specific religion or tradition instead of worshipping Christ.

I Corinthians 15:58 NKJV

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

  • Pray that the church would be steadfast in times of persecution.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

  • Pray for believers who cannot have fellowship with other believers because they are imprisoned or are the sole believer within their vicinity.

[8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. [9] Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

  • Pray that believers who live in parts of the world where persecution is still mild would be alert and prepared as we see the coming of the Lord drawing nearer.

Psalms 82:3-4 NKJV

[3] Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. [4] Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

  • Pray for the widows, widowers and orphans whose husbands, wives and parents have been murdered due to war, terrorism and other conflicts.

Psalms 56:6-9 NKJV

[6] They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life. [7] Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God! [8] You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? [9] When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.

  • Pray for the girls and women who have been kidnapped, raped, abused and/or forced to marry someone who is not a part of the Christian faith.

Psalms 5:12 NKJV

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

  • Pray for the believers who fled their countries or provinces in search of a better life elsewhere.

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

  • Pray for believers who must endure life in internally displaced peoples or refugee camps.

One Man’s Faith Lead 100,000 Muslims To JESUS

(CBN) Harun Ibrahim was born in Israel to Arab-Muslim parents, studied in a Jewish school, and married a devout Christian woman.  After years of examining these religions, he was faced with a choice: Judaism, Christianity, or Islam.

Ibrahim ultimately made a decision to follow Christ, thanks to his praying wife and a timely encounter with a random man on the street.

Ibrahim recalled the conversation during an appearance on The 700 Club. The man told him, “‘Well, you are not going to be in the kingdom of God because Jesus said that no one will come to the Father except through [Him].'”

“And I really didn’t like that,” he recounted. “I said, ‘You are rude.'”

The man began to share the Gospel with the young Muslim and challenged him to actually read the Bible.

“He challenged me to read this Bible verse, and it was in the Gospel of John. And I read the Gospel of John seven times in a row. I just like really loved the person called Jesus. I couldn’t resist. I just had to accept him as my redeemer, as my Savior,” he shared. source-full article

Prayer Points

  • Pray for Muslim’s eyes and ears to be opened to hear the Gospel.

“Then the eyes of those who see will not be blinded, and the ears of those who hear will listen.” Isaiah 32:3

  • Pray for the Lord to wash the hearts of those who want to be freed from their sins.

“He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:5-7

  • Pray for the spread of the gospel and the growth and multiplication of believers who are risking their lives when they decide to follow Christ.

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.” Roman’s 10:1

  • Pray for Muslims to listen to voice of Jesus calling them.

“I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd.” John 10:16

  • Pray for persecuted Christians to remain strong and courageous in their faith and rely on Christ’s promises.

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:10-12

  • Pray for persecuted believers to always remember how much Christ loves them. 

“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.” Roman’s 8:35,37

  • Pray for persecuted believers to hold on to hope when they are persecuted.

“Jesus said, ‘Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.’” Mark 10:29-31

  • Pray for Christians in the Arab world and all around the world to be bold in sharing the gospel with Muslims. Islam is a dark, oppressive religion, and we know the Truth, Jesus, who can set Muslims free!
  • Pray for Christians to be bold in sharing the Good News with other Muslims.

“14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!” Roman’s 10:14-15

  • Pray for Christians to be obedient to the call to preach the Gospel. 

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.” 2 Timothy 4:2

I count it as a privilege and honor to lift up my brothers and sisters by praying for them every day. I have a heart for missions today that goes back to the day I received His gift of salvation in 1977. I do not aways get on the conference call, but I do always pray every day.

I pray that Yah will bless you and the work you are doing. I pray that He will bless and protect my brothers and sisters. Regardless of what the enemy might try to do by bringing suffering and destruction to us, he is a defeated foe. There is a day coming when no more suffering and pain will be present.

I long for the day to be face to face with Him. But I want to be faithful to His call until that day. Thank you for all you do and may Yah bless and keep you with my persecuted brothers and sisters until we stand in His presence face to face…..Amen

What is Persecution Watch?

Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God. The group meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night at 9pm Eastern time in the United States (please check your time zone). Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted, and the two missions became one. Brother Blaine passed into glory on December 26, 2019. It was truly a blessing for all of us to serve alongside this dear man of God. The prayer mission of Persecution Watch remains an important part of our mission. The Voice of the Persecuted is committed to continuing the prayer conference call for the persecuted along with the dedicated Persecution Watch prayer warrior team.

Prior to the passing of Brother Blaine, he confirmed the passing of the torch as prayer conference call leader to Nadia Dybvik. Nadia has a burdened heart for the persecuted and is a prayer warrior standing in the gap for them. She joined the Persecution Watch prayer team in 2015 and has been part of the core ever since. Before becoming the prayer call leader, she served in the role of prayer moderator since 2016. Blaine chose Nadia for her faithfulness to pray for the persecuted and her strong commitment to the Persecution Watch mission. We are blessed not only with her gift of prayer, but her genuine love for every brother and sister in Christ that comes on the call to pray. May the Lord continue to bless Nadia, the prayer warrior team in the mission and their personal lives.

“Pray for us” is the number one request that we hear from the persecuted. As the members of the first century Church, the Holy Spirit moved them to pray. We too must continue to serve those suffering persecution by lifting them up to the Lord through prayer.

On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters join the conference call and share the trials they are facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer. Time will be reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.

Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone.

We welcome all who desire to pray for the persecuted church and consider it a joy to pray together with you. If you are new to the call and cannot find your voice, listen in, and pray silently or on mute. We are grateful and thank the Lord for bringing us all together to pray in agreement for our persecuted family in Christ. We can all be prayer warriors on this call!
