17th April’18 – Letter ‘O’

The word I choose for the letter ‘O’ is Obsession.

The quote I choose to go with the word Obsession is- “I have an obsession with quotes because other people are so much better at putting my feelings into words than I am”.

Obsession/ Obsessive about something or someone is an extremely strong feeling. Until and unless your obsession towards something or someone is under your control, which does not harm anyone is fine I guess. As I said earlier, it is an extremely strong feeling, which is difficult for one to come out off. Currently I am obsessed with quotes, poems, short or a little lengthy stories. It could be about love, relation, inspirational or friendship etc. Quotes I usually read on Pinterest, Google, YourQuote and for poems, short or a little lengthy stories I read the post of the bloggers whom I follow.

Day 16- NaPoWriMo’18 – Game of Chess or Life!

Published 17th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

Day 16: In this vein, our (optional, as always) prompt for the day asks you to write a poem that prominently features the idea of play. It could be a poem about a sport or game, a poem about people who play (or are playing a game), or even a poem in the form of the rules for a sport or game that you’ve just made up (sort of like Calvinball).

Game of Chess or Life!

A board with only two colour option,
Black or White make your choice,
A mind game but also an exercise,
Might become an obsession, not just time-pass or fun.

16TH APRIL’18 – A TO Z CHALLENGE – LETTER ‘N’

Published 16th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

16th April’18 – Letter ‘N’

The word I choose for the letter ‘N’ is Naughty.

The quote I choose to go with the word Naughty is- “People think that am so silent. But only my close circles and friends know how Naughty I am and how difficult to handle me”.

We all have one person in our friend circle or cousins who is very very silent; but that is only in front of strangers or acquaintance. That person is an introvert to the unknown people but an extrovert with people who are close. Such people are very naughty, yes they are. They can come out with super awesome ideas on playing pranks (be careful). Let me tell you about one naughty thing a school friend of mine did.

Day 15- NaPoWriMo’18- Evil Captain Hook – A Human!

Published 16th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

Day 15: And now for our prompt (optional, as always). In her interview, Blake suggests writing a poem in which a villain faces an unfortunate situation, and is revealed to be human (but still evil). Perhaps this could mean the witch from Hansel & Gretel has lost her beloved cat, and is going about the neighbourhood sticking up heart-wrenching “Lost Cat” signs, but still finds human children delicious. Maybe Blackbeard the Pirate is lost at sea in an open boat, remembering how much he loved his grandmother (although he will still kill the first person dumb enough to scoop him from the waves).

Evil Captain Hook – A Human!

In the starry night,
He wanders,
With the other men,
Plotting for an avenge,
To kidnap Wendy and other children,

Day 14- NaPoWriMo’18- Dreams & their Meaning!

Published 14th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

Day 14: And now for our prompt (optional, as always). Dream dictionaries have been around as long as people have had dreams. Interestingly, if you consult a few of them, they nearly always tend to have totally different things to say about specific objects or symbols. Dreams, unlike words themselves, don’t seem to be nicely definable! At any rate, today’s prompt is to write entries for an imaginary dream dictionary. Pick one (or more) of the following words, and write about what it means to dream of these things: Teacup, Hammer, Seagull, Ballet slipper, Shark, Wobbly table, Dentist, Rowboat.

I have used the words Teacups, Hammer, Wobbly table and Dentist.

Dreams & their Meaning!

Woke up with my unfinished sleep,
As the dream stopped abruptly to wake me,
Blur vision but I can still remember,
It is strange,
The dentist stood near the wobbly table,
With tea cups and a hammer…

14th April’18 – Letter ‘M’

Day 13- NaPoWriMo’18- All bad things has a new beginning!

Published 14th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

Day 13: And now for our prompt (optional, as always!), drawn from a suggestion provided in Lorber’s interview. Today, we challenge you to write a poem in which the words or meaning of a familiar phrase get up-ended. For example, if you chose the phrase “A stitch in time saves nine,” you might reverse that into something like: “a broken thread; I’m late, so many lost.” Or “It’s raining cats and dogs” might prompt the phrase “Snakes and lizards evaporate into the sky.” Those are both rather haunting, strange images, and exploring them could provide you with an equally haunting, strange poem (or a funny one!)

All bad things has a new beginning!

All bad things has a new beginning,
Only if you believed you would know,
Anything too much is going to kill,
Presence of liquor will ruin your liver,
You thought,

13TH APRIL’18 – A TO Z CHALLENGE – LETTER ‘L’

Published 13th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

13th April’18 – Letter ‘L’

The word I choose for the letter ‘L’ is Love.

The quote I choose to go with the word Love is- “LOVE”. Yes, you read it right the word “Love” itself is a quote according to me. Love cannot be defined with a couple of words or few sentences as there are so many forms of love. How can you describe Love when there are so many faces for it. Like, Love for parents, siblings (sister/brother), uncle, aunt, cousin, friend, colleague, teacher, student, lover, animals, plants etc etc etc.

Today I would like to share about a personal experience it is a LOVE between a teacher and a student. It is easy for a teacher to accept and love students but it is not so easy to get accepted and loved by a student. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my favorite teachers who have helped me and been there for me. And it is because of my favorite teachers’ which helped me to start my first career as a teacher (it is not an easy task really trust me). I have taken classes for Nursery, 1st/3rd & 4th STD kids. But my favorite are the Nursery kids. I love you all for sure but my love for my Nursery kids are more. A small incident I would like to share. I used to take classes for Nursery Kids; this is the conversation between one of my students (3 years old) and me.

12TH APRIL’18 – A TO Z CHALLENGE – LETTER ‘K’

Published 12th April 2018 by viewsofpreethib

12th April’18 – Letter ‘K’

The word I choose for the letter ‘K’ is Kindness.

The quote I choose to go with the word Kindness is- “My Religion is very Simple. My Religion is Kindness”.

This is a sensitive subject to speak on, as people belong to various types of religion but end of the day we all are just humans. As being a human our main motive and religion is suppose to be Kindness that has to be followed first; as various people follow different religion as per their birth, place, family etc which are all man-made and are customized according to their understanding of what is right and wrong.
