Anyone hanging around the temple may find themselves experiencing quite the sight. A capybara is trotting along, and perching on its back is a... bird? It looks like a bird. At least, it has a beak like a bird, though birds usually aren't green or... floppy. If one were to listen closely, they might hear--

"Can't you go any faster? Time is of the essence! Augh, how could that boy be so careless as to lose me? We don't have time for errands...

LIIIIIINK!"

What: AN EXPEDITION to Ardel, mostly because Sokka's never been there, and he wants an excuse to network.

[He'd asked Jim to meet him here over the communicators a little while before. He was interested, honestly-- a kid about his age, snarky as all get out and seemingly smart, to boot? Clearly, this Jim guy could be an ideal ally.

And, really, he'd be going to Ardel by himself anyway-- he hadn't been able to raise Zuko on the communicators-- so, why not get some company.

Now the real question was whether or not the kid would actually show up. From his perch on a low wall that divided cobblestone from greenery, Sokka scans a ways down the road in both directions and munches idly at some of the food he brought for the trip.]

Unsurprisingly, sleeping had done Terry's patience and mood a great deal of good. Reassured that Max was really back and completely safe, he distracted her with a handful of spare parts from the batsuit -- a smoke pellet, a flash grenade and a few other pieces -- and the diagrams he'd drawn of the circuitry and his own understanding of how the suit worked from Bruce's explanations and his own repairs. It might have seemed unfair to ask her to do so much for him considering she'd just come back from the dead, but Terry knew Maxine, and she needed the distraction as much as he needed the help.

Something had occurred to him, while he was laying things out for her. Maxine was stubborn. She wanted to help, and she would step in, whether he wanted her to or not. So maybe he should let her. If he gave her small, safe tasks to help him with -- things he could genuinely rely on her genius and dogged perseverence for -- then maybe it would keep her from diving head first into the more violence, dangerous stuff. At the very least, it was worth a try.

And while Max was working, he slipped out. He had important things to do. After leaving a message for Bruce, he headed straight to the temple, waiting patiently in the shadows.

It wasn't uncommon for this to happen so soon after Calling a person to Vertiline. Things just didn't work out as expected, and as such, matters had to be handled. It did, however, present an interesting set of problems for Eir.

If the person she had summoned had already acquainted themself with the others, her absence might be noted. Eir was hoping that it was soon enough that she would not be missed. This was an unavoidable gamble early in the game. She hoped that it would not turn out badly like it had before. The last thing Eir wanted was for the Called, only having barely begun to settle in, to approach her with renewed requests and demands to be returned home.

Eir fretted over this, wringing her trembling hands together, as she waited for Fillin to return with the girl she'd requested he bring to the audience chamber. The room felt small to Eir, though she was sure that was a result of her years of familiarity with the Temple. She knew it felt smaller still when it was filled wall-to-wall with Called as Nette was held one of her audiences. Still, she rather liked the space for the the colorful tile mosaic that spread along the back wall. It never failed to draw her attention and admiration.

The opening of the double doors distracted Eir from her thoughts. She looked up from her spot in front of the Lady's chair, a simple wooden piece of furniture with a worn green seat cushion, to see Fillin escort Umi Ryuuzaki inside. Eir nodded to Fillin with a smile of thanks, and he closed the doors behind the young girl.

"Miss Ryuuzaki," Eir began warmly as she unclasped her hands, "Thank you for coming so quickly."

The temple really was a lovely structure. The only structures that the Warrior had seen, aside from the ruins of Order's Sanctuary and the Old Chaos Shrine, were the bizarre architecture of Pandemonium and the pillars in the World of Darkness. This was something else altogether -- old, peaceful, solid.

But today the Warrior was not here to admire the architecture, or find something to eat. Today, he was going to find himself a weapon, and he made his way into the building, glancing frequently at the map on his communicator.

Who: The fog party: Kevas, Zhaneel, Ironhide, Max, Zack, Lucas, Tess and Terry

When: After everyone gathers at the fog

[Well this certainly didn't go as Kevas was expecting. Honestly he just planned on taking a quick look within the fog. Now it looked like he was leading a whole damn expedition, and just after he said taking a big group in there was a bad idea. Here's hoping that they will at least listen to him.

Kevas sat by the edge of the fog thinking about how they were going to do this. There were at least five more people coming, maybe more if word got out. If they all brought their own rope then they should easily get more than a hundred feet...hopefully. Kevas doubted even that would be enough to get through the fog. Some were definitely going to stay on the other side in case things went wrong, but what about those who were going in? A rope for each of them? Then they wouldn't nearly get as far if they just tied all the rope together, but how would they stay together if they used just one long rope? Hold hands?

Screw it, he'll have to wait for everyone to get here before he decided]

When: Early morning. Dawn, to be precise.

[Who isn't a fan of mornings? This man. Who prefers evenings? Yep. This man. Who would really, really like to be well asleep right now and who would like to stay that way until noon or later? Oh yeah. This man.

But he is not asleep, because a certain Spartan said dawn and he, like a stupid puppy, agreed, mostly because she sounded like authority and for all that authority occasionally rubs him the wrong way, Tanvir's learned that making a good first impression is important. Not asleep--or at least, sort of awake--and sitting with his back against a conveniently located tree. That's Tanvir!

It's too early for this. Where are you, blue-clad, apparently very tall lady? Please come quickly and teach him how not to shoot you in the foot so he may go back to bed.]
