I draw upon
my strength
to serve you
and ask for help
when I need it
– that’s strength too
I don’t need to be a saviour
We can all be there for each other
Strength is to share
who you are
and to receive others
the way they are
– boundaries included
You don’t need to be a saviour
We can all be there for each other
There’s strength
in connecting
to what is
and stay present
multiplying acceptance
by just being there
No one needs to be a saviour
just be here
The prompt today for #OctPowrimo was door, the suggested form a Bop. My head and heart are still in the Zagreb workshop that I wrote about yesterday, so I decided to try the form but come up with my own subject. I started by doing some art journalling, in a process taught by Effy Wild. That led to writing two poems. The first one was a proper Bop I don’t feel like sharing, the second one the slightly altered version of the form you see here.

I like it. The repetition is effective.
It turned out well, and the message is very encouraging.
I agree with Jane. I like the way the repetitive reinforces the emotions. (K)
Nice. You are right. Just be there. XO
