About

Piñatabstract is a celebration and multimedia exploration of the piñata tradition through craft, performance, large scale work and new media. The solo exhibition includes sculptural installations, wearable art, recycled paper, video and ceramic work. It showcases the techniques and aesthetic of the culturally rich iconography of the piñata while at the same time expanding and challenges the notions behind the object, practice and its place within our collective imagination.
