2026 Membership Updates

The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) is excited to share a sneak peek at our upcoming membership levels and benefits for the 2026 calendar year, launching September 2, 2025! These updates will also include changes to membership pricing, designed to make your membership more valuable and accessible than ever. As always, IMAS memberships are valid for one calendar year, from January 1 through December 31.

Become an IMAS Member

Becoming a member means you are supporting IMAS exhibitions, educational programs, and the Museum collections.

All memberships are valid for up to one calendar year and expire on December 31 annually. Join early to enjoy a full year of benefits. Memberships are no longer prorated throughout the year, so it is best to renew or join on or before January 1 to get the most out of your membership.

Membership cards are mailed at the end of each week, except when adjusted for holiday schedules. You will need your membership card to access your IMAS benefits, including continued benefits outside of the IMAS.

Membership Tiers

Explorer

Perfect for solo adventurers, the Explorer tier is designed for individuals who want to enjoy all that IMAS has to offer on their own, all while supporting art and science learning for the entire community. 

Explorer Benefits

  • 1 IMAS membership card with one named adult.
  • Ability to bring 1 non-member guest per membership to select Member Events.
  • Eligible for entry into the Annual Members; Juried Art Show (ages 18+) for up to 1 person.
  • This tier does not receive discounts on Youth Programs.

Student: $30

Individuals may apply with proof of student ID

Available in person (not available online).

Individual: $40

Duo: $60

Supporter

Supporter tier memberships offer families in a single household the most value from their IMAS membership. By enjoying their benefits throughout the year, these families not only get the best museum experience, but also help sustain IMAS’s mission and support continued art and science learning in the Rio Grande Valley.

Supporter Benefits

  • 2 IMAS membership cards with up to 2 named adults.
  • Discounts on youth programs such as Operation Imagination Camps for children in household.
  • Ability to bring 1 non-member guest per membership to select Member events.
  • Eligible for entry into the Annual Members’ Juried Art Show (ages 18+) for up to 2 people.
  • 2 IMAS membership cards with up to 2 named adults.
  • Discounts on youth programs such as Operation Imagination Camps for children in household.
  • Ability to bring 1 non-member guest per membership to select Member events.
  • Eligible for entry into the Annual Members' Juried Art Show (ages 18+) for up to 2 people.

Membership for All: $25

Individuals & households may apply with proof of WIC/EBT card + photo ID

Available in person (not available online).

Family: $100

  • All Member Benefits + Supporter Benefits
  • General admission for up to 2 Adults and 4 Children per day.
  • $2 off general admission for up to 2 additional guests per day.
  • Updated Family Member pricing ensures ASTC Passport eligibility.

Family + Smithsonian: $195

Investor

Investor members not only enjoy a full year of museum benefits for their household, but also help other families experience the museum through a contribution to our Pay It Forward Program. These members also receive two memberships in one!

Investor Benefits

  • 2 IMAS membership cards with up to 2 named adults.
  • Discounts on youth programs such as Operation Imagination Camps for children in the household.
  • Ability to bring 1 non-member guest per membership to select Member events.
  • Eligible for entry into the Annual Members’ Juried Art Show (ages 18+) for up to 2 people.
  • Pay It Forward Program donor recognition.

Visionary: $325

Founders: $1,967

Group

Group memberships are designed for daycares, retirement communities, homeschool cohorts, and special interest groups seeking enriching museum experiences. Public, private, and charter schools are not eligible.

Exploration Crew: $450

  • 2 IMAS Membership cards with up to 2 named adults.
  • Eligible for entry into the Annual Members’ Juried Art Show (ages 18+) for up to 2.
  • Requires at least 1 named Adult on membership.
  • Includes general admission for up to 12 people of any age per day. 
  • This tier does not receive discounts on youth programs.

Corporate

Corporate memberships offer businesses and organizations special museum access for their employees, either through limited general admission for the calendar year, or a set number of IMAS memberships based on contribution level.

  • Available to single companies or organizations only, corporate memberships promote employee well-being by providing access to a safe, enriching space for mental breaks and self-care.
  • Corporate members receive recognition on the IMAS website, in the seasonal Musette newsletter, and other donor acknowledgements.

General Admission

Starting at $1,500
May require proof of employment such as a physical pass or employee ID.
  • Businesses or organizations and their employees may receive a limited number of general admission passes annually to IMAS.

Enjoy the benefits of your IMAS Membership PLUS an annual Smithsonian membership, which includes:
