Pay It Forward Program

The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) has launched a Pay It Forward program, with the goal of offering fully funded memberships for under-resourced families in the RGV. Supporting the Pay It Forward program helps IMAS continue to be a destination for accessible, innovative, awe-inspiring learning through diverse art and science experiences that prepare our community for the future. As an expansion of its Membership for All (MFA) program, which currently serves families who receive WIC/SNAP, this program will provide MFA memberships to first-time members free of charge.

  • Purchasing a Visionary Membership – Sponsors three Museum For All (MFA) Memberships
  • Making a Direct Donation – A direct donation to this fund of $25 can provide one MFA membership through the Pay It Forward Membership Program.

To receive a sponsored membership, applicants must be currently receiving state assistance such as WIC/SNAP and have never had an IMAS membership before. Previous IMAS members cannot apply for this program.

Applications open annually on June 1 and closes on August 31. Memberships will be issued annually September through November and will automatically be active from the date issued through the end of the following calendar year.

Please note that sponsored memberships are subject to availability and limited by the funds allocated.
