We have successfully converted over 40 public safety platforms to RIMS (see list below), including legacy systems no longer in use. All data conversions are performed by our in-house specialists; we never outsource this work – ensuring tight quality assurance.

If your agency elects to convert data, our team works closely with your agency to ensure a smooth transition.

Our Data Conversion Process

• Database Access

At the start of the project, we establish secure remote access to your server and database – using CJIS-compliant connections. This is where the conversion happens. We never remove your data from your server. Your agency provides us with the necessary credentials.

• Database Analysis
  • For new systems: We analyze the database structure, identify data locations, and develop custom conversion programs.
  • For known systems: We review and adjust our existing conversion programs to match your specific database.
• Data Mapping

We map your current data fields to RIMS, ensuring values translate accurately.

• Initial Conversion & Review

After RIMS is installed, we load a converted dataset onto your server. A data conversion specialist works with your team to review and validate the data.

• Refinement Cycles

You report any discrepancies. We refine the conversion, rerun it, and return updated results. This iterative process continues until you are confident in the data.

• Training Database

Once the data conversion is complete, the data is moved into a training database and used to train staff prior to going live.

• Go-Live Conversion

On your go-live date, we perform a final conversion to ensure your system is up to date and ready for use.
