Big news out of Tehama County, CA!

The Tehama County District Attorney’s Office has taken a major step forward by transitioning from a homegrown file system to RIMS RMS and Property Room—a move that strengthens efficiency, visibility, and collaboration.

This strategic investment enables seamless collaboration with neighboring RIMS agencies, including the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, the Red Bluff Police Department, and the Corning Police Department. It also extends regional connectivity to agencies across Butte, Plumas, and Mendocino counties—enhancing information sharing where it matters most.

Beyond local impact, Tehama joins a growing network of forward-thinking District Attorney’s Offices statewide, collaborating with peers in Marin, San Mateo, Solano, Modoc, and Amador counties.

We’re proud to welcome Tehama County DA as our 241st California agency—another milestone in building a reliable, integrated public safety platform.

Welcome to the RIMS family!

Sun Ridge Systems Adds Another Idaho County to RIMS Family

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, St. Anthony Police Department, and Ashton Police Department have selected RIMS to replace their existing ARTS (Harris) CAD/RMS/JMS applications, used on a multi-agency platform.

Located in central-eastern Idaho, these Fremont County agencies serve over 13,000 residents and cover 1,896 square miles during their beat.  An interesting fact about Fremont County is that it serves as part of the boundary, and a portion of Yellowstone National Park extends into the County.

St. Anthony PD has some notable officers as well.  “CHiPs” highway patrolman Erik Estrada, whose focus is on preventing children from becoming prey to online sexual predators.  Actor Dean Cain, of the famed “Lois and Clark,” also joined the agency to help combat crime and increase community safety.

The three agencies will use RIMS CAD, RMS, Mobile RIMS, Mapping, iRIMS LE, InCustody Jail Management software, e911, NCIC/State CJIS integration, and RIMS2Text paging.

These agencies join the Butte County Sheriff’s Office as Idaho RIMS agencies and are now part of our growing RIMS Family!  Welcome!

RIMS Celebrates 40 Years at Rocklin, CA Police Department

2025 marks 40 years since RIMS was installed at its first agency, the Rocklin, CA Police Department.  RIMS, or “Records Information Management Systems,” was initially a Records Management System used to maintain Person, or “Alpha” Records for the Department. Soon after, Sun Ridge Systems developed a Computer-Aided Dispatch system for Rocklin PD, handling both Police and Fire/EMS Dispatch.

Reaching four decades with a public safety vendor is an incredible achievement; most relationships celebrate this by offering a ruby. This deep red gemstone symbolizes passion, loyalty, and devotion. As a token of our appreciation, we offered our own “Ruby” Stewart as the master of ceremonies, introducing Rocklin Chief Rustin Banks, Matt Diridoni, retired Rocklin Police Services Manager, and our cast, including President Carol Jackson, Chief Technology Officer John Boren, Chief Executive Officer Tony Richards, and our Chief Financial Officer, Pat Richards.

Thank you, not only to the members of the Rocklin Police Department but also to all of the agencies who place their trust in RIMS.  Here’s to another 40 Years!
