The wanderer

If i could find
A place to be called mine
If i could remind myself
A note for every time
If I could ascertain
A spot as my destination always
I would have never felt
Wandering
Just like a Wanderer
Who knows what he want
And then he doesn't,,,

This piece has a quiet, searching beauty to it. The repetition of “If I could…” captures uncertainty and longing in a candid way, while the image of wandering feels deeply human and relatable.

I especially like the paradox you create—a wanderer who both knows what he wants and doesn’t. That tension gives the poem its emotional weight. It reads like a gentle confession, reflective and sincere, leaving the reader with that sense of in-between-ness long after the last line.

I’m glad you noticed that—that paradox is really the heart of it. It’s what makes the wandering feel so real and human. You captured that tension beautifully, and it’s what gives the piece its quiet power.
