Illuminiating the Art in True Craftsmanship
Steve Rands is a sculptor who merges fine art with the skilled trades, crafting large-scale works in metal and stone from his Lawrence, Kansas studio. A retired Naval Officer, helicopter pilot, and mechanical engineer, Steve brings precision, discipline, and creative problem-solving to every project. His sculptures—shaped by a lifetime of technical expertise and hands-on fabrication—reflect a deep respect for material, process, and purpose. Steve is available for public, corporate, and collaborative commissions nationwide.
