Have decided to try and start this comm up again. Since it's been so long, and not everyone was very active when I was posting prompts, I want to start with a clean slate in regards to characters.

To be fair to everyone, though, I will be giving you each first-dibs on the characters you currently have in the comm.

If you have any intention of staying, please email splinter.mods@gmail.com and let me know.

If you want to pull out, please email splinter.mods@gmail.com and let me know.

IMPORTANT: If I receive no email from you, it will be assumed that you are withdrawing and your character willl be opened up to the general public, to be given to the first applicant. If you're are removed in this fashion and wish to be re-added you will be required to re-fill out the application form.

The DEADLINE for contacting me will be 11:59pm on March 14th, 2009.

I look forward to hearing from you, and even moreso looking forward to getting the ball rolling again!

- The Mod

We're trying something something different this week. If you want to weigh in with your opinion, do so here.

For the single word prompts, you don't have to use the word itself. You are welcome to use the idea behind the word as your prompt instead. (For example, the word pleonasm means to express an idea with more words than are necessary. Instead of trying to fit the word into the story, you can write a fic of your pup being subjected to a friend who's indulging in a bit of convoluted rambling.)

The coffers are getting low, so if you come across a nifty piece of spam that you would like to see as a prompt, just sent it to splinter.mods@gmail.com

If none of these inspire you, feel free to go through the (old prompts) and pick one from there.

----------

  • SetCaretPos Moves a caret to the specified position.
  • The driver writes the initialization information supplied in the lpDevModeInput ...
  • fungible definedCollapse )
  • diaphanous definedCollapse )
  • My grandfather lied to my grandmother. I guess it runs in the family.
  • He was skating on thin ice - that's all I can say.

[Prompts 1 & 2 provided by kaladhwen. Thanks, hon! Prompts 5 & 6 provided by those freakishly cool popsicle sticks from The Writer's Tool Box. Sticks used were First Sentence and Non Sequitur respectively.]
