Finnegan Sougioultzoglou, 2023 - present

Finnegan is a sea-going technician and experienced tutor in a wide range of topics including oceanography, satellite applications, environmental policy, and economic development. He holds a dual BSc in Economics and Energy/Environmental Policy focusing on environmental engineering, a first-distinction MSc in Urban Economic Development from University College London and MSc in Space Studies (cum laude) from the International Space University. His roles at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC-UK) and National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA-USA) honed his skills in bathymetric survey, scientific instrumentation and data analysis. Past positions with the Iceland Space Agency and Asteroid Mining Corporation added specialized knowledge in space economics and sustainable technologies. 

 

Abinash Silwal, 2025 - present

Abinash specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing, with a strong background in spatial data analysis, geospatial programming, and the application of remote sensing technologies for environmental monitoring, disaster management, utility mapping, and infrastructure planning. He has gained experience in both academic research and industry, working extensively with tools such as GIS, GNSS, UAV mapping, and automation technologies to address real-world challenges through geospatial solutions. In addition to his analytical capabilities, Abinash is a geospatial educator, actively contributing to training and capacity-building initiatives aimed at expanding GIS literacy and its practical use. His interests lie in collaborative projects and research related to flood mapping, vegetation monitoring, natural hazards, disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and resilience. He is passionate about leveraging geospatial technologies to drive sustainable environmental management and enhance disaster preparedness.

Michael Loughnane, 2025 - present

Michael is a software engineer with experience ranging from ground software development for the NASA Artemis program to front-end app development work in big tech, alongside project management experience from across a range of corporate and non-profit settings. He holds a BA in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Astronomy from New York University (Magna Cum Laude, Presidential Honors Scholar, University Honors Scholar). His broad, cross-disciplinary background gives him an acute sense of what projects need to succeed, and what steps need to be taken to develop those ideas into deliverable end-products.
