SGAC held elections in December 2025 to elect the next Regional Coordinator (RC) in the African Region. We are happy to announce that Emebet Mehabaw Tegegne (Ethiopia) has been elected as the Regional Coordinator for Africa.

The Second SGAC election of a new Co-Chairperson in 2025 has been completed and we are pleased to welcome Marcos Eduardo Rojas Ramirez (Mexico) as the new Co-Chair of SGAC.
SGAC announces the winners of the 2025 Middle East Space Leaders Award (ME-SLA)
SGAC is pleased to announce Sarah Sharayah, Veysel Aksu, Sima Moradinasab and Saeed Jafari as the winners of the 2025 Middle East Space Leader Award. The winners will be sponsored to attend the 3rd Middle East Space Generation Workshop to be held in Ankara, Türkiye, 13-14 December 2025.
