Legends speak of weapons which upon being passed down from warrior to warrior slaying many great foes across the generations, that said weapon may come to develop a will of its own.
Influenced by the hands that wielded and the blood of the foes that tainted them, each blade forms a unique will of its own.
Perhaps the will of a holy demon slayer shall form from the hands of faithful paladins, slaying monstrous beings in the name of justice. But should their will weaken, should the will of the demonic beasts they slay be stronger than that of their own, demonic taint left impurified, a twisted will of death and destruction may form instead.
Whilst no more than legend, the tales of such will infused weapons turning on their masters stand as a testament towards the importance of treating one’s blade with the upmost of care.
