Library Instruction and Assessment: Request Library Instruction

Request a Library Instruction Session

Complete the Library Instruction Request Form.
To learn more about our instruction options, please visit Instruction Option Descriptions.

  • We request two weeks’ notice so we can provide your class the highest level of service.
  • We do not offer instruction the first week of class each semester.
  • Please select two instruction dates/times on the form. We try very hard to meet your first choice, but during heavy instruction times you might be assigned your second choice.
  • Contact Lauren M. Young if you have questions or need assistance.

Our Mission

Samford Library's Instruction Program seeks to use each teachable moment to help the institution produce information literate students. Information Literacy is the ability to:

"recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information." ALA
