Four in ten British adults lack the financial literacy to manage their money, according to new research from The Richmond Project

Introduction to Financial Literacy is the second phase of The Richmond Project’s landmark study, Number Nation; the largest ever research into the UK’s numeracy and financial literacy. Conducted by Public First, it surveyed more than 10,000 people testing understanding of the concepts that shape financial decisions throughout life. Respondents were tested on three foundational financial concepts – compound interest, inflation, and risk diversification – giving The Richmond Project a unique insight into the nation’s financial knowledge and how it compares to international peers across more than 20 countries.
