What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach to understanding and improving behavior. Our focus is teaching functional skills to reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning. ABA programs are highly individualized and use reinforcement to help increase communication, social, daily living, and academic skills.

Who Is The ABA Provider?

Led by an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and trained behavior technicians, our programs are tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Sessions include one-on-one instruction, caregiver training, social skills groups, and functional communication training—all using evidence-based ABA techniques.

How to Receive Applied Behavior Analysis?

Step one – Doctor prescription for ABA Therapy.
Step two – Complete intake paperwork including providing a copy of your child’s diagnostic report and necessary insurance documentation.
Step three – Authorization: We accept Partnership Healthcare of California. Our team can assist with authorization.
Step four – Once we receive authorization, we can begin our comprehensive behavior evaluation and create an individualized treatment plan.

Jenna Ryan

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Jenna is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a founding partner of Best Behavior. She moved to Redding, CA at 13, where she discovered her passion for helping others—particularly supporting classmates with special needs. With over two decades of experience, Jenna has dedicated herself to working with children with disabilities since 2004. Her diverse background includes roles as a respite care provider, 1:1 instructional aide, socialization program assistant, resource director/president of the Autism Society of Northern California, and in-home behavior technician. Jenna became a BCBA in 2011 and finds great fulfillment in helping families set meaningful goals and implement effective strategies for learning and development. Outside of her professional life, Jenna enjoys going on adventures with her husband and two daughters, as well as obsessing over her chickens.

Janeth Romero

Family Services Coordinator

Janeth moved to Redding when she was 13 from the Bay Area. She the second oldest of seven kids and from a young age she has helped translate for her mom. Janeth previously worked as a CNA for 4 years before she started to learn about Rowell which then led her to work for her sister, Jasmin, as well as caring for other adults with disabilities who she has grown close with them and their families. She has always found myself wanting to help people so she’s happy to be able to continue with that here at Rowell. Outside of everything, Janeth enjoys trying new foods, whether that be cooking at home or trying a new restaurant. She loves to go thrifting and being on the hunt for good pieces to be re-loved.  Her all-time favorite pastime is to just be at home watching musicals and singing her heart out on the couch.
