Our Track Record:
In 2013, Dillard Elementary did not have a formal art program, but its students longed for structured opportunities to explore their creativity. Recognizing this need, Ranger Good Works took the first step by sponsoring a field trip for 70 students to visit the world-famous Guy Harvey Exhibit at Nova Southeastern University. This trip was more than just a day away from school; it was the beginning of a vibrant and transformative art journey at Dillard Elementary.
Since that pivotal moment, Ranger Good Works has remained committed to expanding access to the arts for Dillard and North Fork Elementary students. Through sponsoring partnerships with organizations such as the Young at Art Museum, Museum of Discovery, and Neiman Marcus, plus support from local artist Cori Butler and artists Romero Britto, Guy Harvey, and Lebo, students have been exposed to rich artistic experiences both inside and outside the classroom. These collaborations have also played a major role in integrating art into both schools’ after-school programs, offering students creative outlets and meaningful engagement beyond the traditional school day.
To celebrate and showcase student creativity, Ranger Good Works partnered with the City of Fort Lauderdale to host a student art show in the historic FATVillage Arts District. The event features artwork, paintings, and handmade jewelry created by the students. One standout project included a collaborative mural painted by Dillard students and a local community artist, now displayed on the side of a warehouse in the heart of FATVillage.
Current Programs:
Art education has proven to be an essential part of child development. Beyond creativity, it helps students strengthen motor skills, enhance language development, improve decision-making, build visual learning capabilities, encourage inventiveness, and increase cultural awareness.
