Common Customization Settings

1. Views and Background Image
Views
In the legacy version, we were allowed to choose a background image for each field. To eliminate redundancy, we implemented the View system, which enables background images for field elements within that View. From a different perspective, a view can be considered a specific look and feel for a product.
View Background
i. Blank Canvas
A blank background with your preferred dimensions.
ii. Uploaded Image
You can choose an image you previously uploaded or upload a new image to be used as background.
iii. Product Image
Use one of the product images as the background image for customizations.
iv. Combined Variant Image
If you have Shopify variants and have assigned an Image for each of them, you can use this option to change the background image with the selection of variants from Shopify.
N.B. You can not create multiple views when using the Combined Variant Image.

2. Personalization style
i. Direct field
All personalization options will be shown directly on the product page.

ii. Button with Toggle
With this option, you can show a toggle button on the product page. If someone clicks the button, the personalization fields will be displayed. Customers who want to buy the product without customization can leave it unclicked or click the Remove button after toggling it.
iii. Button with Popup
A button will be shown on the product page with this option. If the customer clicks on this button, a pop-up modal will be shown with the customization fields. The customer will be required to add the product from the pop-up menu. Customer who does not want customization can order the product from the product page without opening the pop-up modal.
iv. Button with Popup (Exclusive )
It is quite similar to the Button With Popup option. However, the add-to-cart button on the product page will be hidden so that customers can not order the product without opening the pop-up menu.
3. Cart and Order settings
All customers’ personalization will be saved as Shopify cart item property, followed by order line item property. You can access this information from Shopify’s order admin page. The cart and order settings allow you to choose what types of previews or additional files you require for the customizations.
Preview and Preview Size
The preview file is an Image of the Customer customization, which can be retrieved in two Sizes: the same as the background and compressed. “The same as the background image” allows you to get the preview image file in the same dimension as the used background image for the view, whereas a compressed provides a smaller dimension image.
If you do not use the file for printing, we recommend using the compressed option which will keep your Add-To-Cart process faster.
When the generate preview is disabled, the preview image will not be generated.
Hide Background in Order image.
The settings allow merchants to get a file that is different from the preview image, where the used background image and watermark placeholder image will not be present. This feature is handy for merchants who want to print files without the background.
Additional Files
For commercial printing, we have the option to Generate an Additional file. The additional file type formats are PDF, PDF(Vector), and SVG. If the additional file setting is not enabled from the app settings, the default option generates PNG. So that you know, the additional file size will be the same as your Background image.
N.B. Generating additional files impacts the Add-To-Cart processing time.
Custom Cart Label
The custom cart label allows you to modify the Preview Image Label on the Cart Page.
4. Preview Timing & Preview Button
It is the timing of when the preview will be rendered.
i) When the Page loads and change input field: The live preview rendering will be processed immediately when the page is loaded for direct field personalization type.
ii) Only When change input field: The live preview rendering will be processed only when the customer changes any field. The live preview will not be loaded when page loads, resulting in showing the feature image of the product when the page loads.
Preview Button: The preview button will appear on devices based on selected options. You can show it only on mobile or on both mobile and desktop.
N.B. The preview button will only show if the live preview is enabled and Directfield or Button with toggle is used as the personalization style.
Toggle Live Preview: When the toggle is disabled, all the customization field Previews will be disabled.
