Persson Construction
FEATURED WORK COLLABORATIONS
Interior designer Mari Woods helped shape a plan that expanded the kitchen’s footprint while preserving the home’s character, most notably by repurposing the original ceiling beams as exposed structural elements and as the frame for a custom-built fireplace.
Architect Alyssa Pierce of Willow and Sage Design transformed the homeowner’s vision into a year-round pool house retreat, using custom windows, high-end tilework, and a thoughtful material palette to create a peaceful, spa-like environment.
Most builders treat plans as a starting point for negotiation. We treat them as a commitment. We’re not a contractor who shows up after the decisions are made. We join the process early, during the Project Development Agreement phase, when design intent is still taking shape and the details that matter most can be protected. We coordinate engineering, structural, zoning, and finish selections before demo, so the project your client approved is the project that gets built.
We’ve been doing this since 2006, with four generations of carpentry behind us. Craft and precision aren’t differentiators for us — they’re the starting point.
PARTNERSHIP BENEFITS
Our pre-construction process, including a coordinated Trade Day with key subcontractors on-site, is specifically designed to identify structural constraints, hidden complexities, and cost drivers before construction begins. That means fewer field decisions that quietly compromise your vision. What you designed is what gets built.
We operate on a cost-plus model with open books. Every line item is visible, every change order is documented, and nothing is buried. You’ll never be in the awkward position of explaining to your client why the budget shifted because a contractor underestimated the original bid.
From the moment a PDA is signed, your project lives in Buildertrend, our project management platform where contracts, selections, schedules, and daily logs are tracked and accessible. We don’t run projects on sticky notes and phone calls. We run them with the same rigor you use in your practice.
Historic homes, complex additions, and high-expectation renovations in Seacoast New Hampshire — this is the work we’ve built our reputation on. Your client gets a builder who has seen their project before. You get a partner who doesn’t need to learn on the job. And when it’s done, we celebrate the finished work together.
OUR WORKFLOW
Our process is built around one principle: Plan → Price → Build. Every step is designed to reduce unknowns, protect your design, and give you a reliable partner from concept to close-out.
Once we’re engaged, we enter the PDA phase together. This is where we make sure we are aligned early. We review your plans, coordinate with structural engineers, identify site constraints, and conduct a Trade Day (a coordinated on-site meeting with key subcontractors) to validate design assumptions and begin building real, trade-backed pricing. No guessing. No surprises later.
With the PDA complete and scope aligned, we assemble a detailed construction proposal with clearly defined allowances and alternates. The project is then fully built out in Buildertrend, where all contracts, selections, schedules, and approvals are managed digitally. We confirm every finish and decision before a single trade steps on-site.
Construction begins with clarity. We maintain daily logs with photo documentation, weekly progress updates, and two-week look-ahead schedules so you always know where the project stands. Once finishes are locked, we post a jobsite finish board with QR codes referencing all approved selections, reducing field mistakes. At close-out, we conduct a thorough punch-list walkthrough and celebrate the finished work with our design partners — because great projects deserve to be recognized.
OUR philosophy
Chris Persson didn’t become a builder by accident. He’s a fourth-generation carpenter who grew up understanding that quality is never accidental — it’s the result of intention, preparation, and pride in the work. That ethos drives everything at Persson Construction.
