What People Are Saying

Real stories from families and staff who have experienced the Pinnacle difference.
"As an educator in the community and as a father, I see every day the challenges in navigating the world of disability services. It is often a relentless and disheartening experience. Not with Pinnacle, though. Pinnacle is committed to providing compassionate, effective, and person-centered care. It has a tremendous sense of community, and it is only interested in employees who want to contribute to that sense of community. I have found Pinnacle to be responsive to both client and employee needs, and this flexibility fosters a genuine team approach to the caring of its residents. Pinnacle Developmental Care understands the DD community, attracts positive and team-oriented staff and its care is by far the best around!"

"As a deeply grateful client of Pinnacle Developmental Care, I cannot fully express how their unwavering commitment to both clients and employees has positively shaped our experience. The nurturing, family-like environment they've cultivated fosters a beautiful synergy between those receiving care and the dedicated staff who provide it. Our son has been living in their group home for over two years, and it's been nothing short of transformative. He's thrived there, engaging in various activities and holding down two jobs. The staff is always proactive in keeping me informed about any issues that arise, and together, we ensure his care is tailored to his needs. While I'm always in the loop, I feel a deep sense of confidence knowing that his needs are being met — even in my absence. He considers this place home, and he's always excited to return after spending time with us."

"When I was seeking a new group home living arrangement for my son Daniel, I was informed Pinnacle had an opening, and the owner would contact me to arrange a visit. Michael Sayer called, and stated he was excited about the possibility of my son living in one of his group homes.  He knew Daniel from his prior work as a DSP, and had good relations with Dan.  I was so relieved to know Michael was not simply looking for another body to fill a vacancy. Rather, he was eager to find a good fit for Daniel.

When we met and toured the home, I was impressed with the cleanliness and modern furnishings. More impressive was Michael's stated philosophy and purpose.  He said Pinnacle employees adopt the philosophy that "We work in our client's homes, they don't live at our work."  Now that Daniel has lived there a few years, I can attest to the fact the staff indeed treat and care for Daniel with respect, professionalism and kindness.  They understand when it is appropriate to give him independence or autonomy, and when he needs direction and guidance. I hope Daniel can continue to live there for many years."

"Having been in the field for 10+ years, I've been part of a few different companies, and I have seen a lot of varieties of management. Pinnacle Developmental Care is miles ahead for many reasons. First being, after prioritizing the residents first and foremost, Pinnacle really values and prioritizes their staff. They focus a lot on work-life balance, staff are able to be themselves, and there is a family-like feel to the entire company.

All coworkers, direct supervisors, and upper management, all the way up to Executive Director, are extremely approachable and easy to talk to. They are very supportive, willing to help, and open to new ideas and suggestions. They are committed to ensuring employees are placed in roles where they feel most comfortable and can perform at their best, significantly enhancing both company culture and employee satisfaction.

Pinnacle has been built on experience-based knowledge and has mastered a way to make things run smoothly, efficiently, and simply to ensure staff aren't overwhelmed with the paperwork side of things. This allows staff to spend good, quality time with all the residents, which builds stronger relationships. Stronger relationships make for a very happy and positive work environment.

Working for Pinnacle has had a positive impact on both my work and home life. I am overall a happier person and enjoy coming to work. They really live up to the definition of Pinnacle: the most successful point."

One year ago, I found my place at Pinnacle, where I've been working with my current client ever since.
