Happy New Year Quilt Block

First, in the spirit of the season, I wish you all happiness and good tidings. Thank you for visiting my website, attending the summits where I’ve presented, and downloading patterns I’ve designed.

Today, I present the last Quilt Block Mania designers’ patterns for 2025. I enjoy working with this talented group and designing the monthly-themed blocks for quilters worldwide.

This month, our theme is Sparkle Themed Blocks. I designed a word block saying: Happy New Year! I used a blue fabric that was the closest I had to a sparkly fabric. I see it as the night sky with a million stars shining. I can also visualise using a black fabric with metallic-printed fireworks as a background choice. What fabric would you use?

I’ll make this one into a wall hanging with a fun border made from celebration-themed fabric. (I’ll need to visit the fabric store!)

Have you visited My Quilt Album, where I’m compiling photos of quilts I’ve made in my nearly 50 years of quilting? I’m still working on posting the many photos I have. Finding them is difficult because many were before USB storage! But it is bringing back memories of why I made the quilts, how I designed them, who received them, and so much more.
