Olive

Olive is a video-editing program that uses nodes. Nodes are a form of visual programming that give you full control over how Olive renders the video you're editing. Nodes allow you to connect videos in a flexible way to produce a wide range of effects.

With Olive, you can create almost any type of effect without having to write any code. Nodes can also be copied and pasted into text and easily shared with your collaborators. End-to-end color management is included on Olive thanks to OpenColorIO. This tool allows you to match colors produced by different cameras without much effort. For maximum color fidelity, Olive renders images in 'half float' or 'full float,' depending on your taste and preferences.

The playback of videos edited with Olive is smooth, thanks to the robust and efficient disk cache included on this program. This allows you to work in the background while pre-rendering frames that are ready for export. The cache usage configuration is fully customizable according to the limits you set, keeping in mind that the more disk space you have available, the better performance you'll get with video playback.
