Community Benefit Statement
Every day the Y’s impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for a common good. As a 501(c)(3) volunteer-founded, volunteer-led organization the intent is to foster social connectedness, strengthen support networks, and encourage investment in our communities which in turn serves to strengthen the foundations of our community. This is all done at no cost to the neighboring cities and towns thereby lessening the burdens of government.
Membership Dues
Membership dues help sustain the YMCA’s day-to-day operations and ensure our facilities and services remain available to the community. To expand access and deliver on our mission, the Merrimack Valley YMCA actively secures grants and engages donors through annual campaigns and events. These philanthropic efforts make it possible to provide financial assistance and support a wide range of programs that serve individuals and families across all income levels.
Each year, the Merrimack Valley YMCA invests millions of dollars into essential programs and services that advance youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Through this work, we strengthen community by increasing access to wellness, education and connection — particularly for children, older adults, and individuals and families who benefit from additional support to fully participate and thrive.
Child Protection Policy
The Merrimack Valley YMCA is deeply committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where every child in our care can learn, grow, and thrive. The safety and well-being of youth in our programs is our highest priority. We follow rigorous policies, staff training, and screening practices designed to prevent abuse and protect children. The Merrimack Valley YMCA has earned Praesidium Accreditation®, the highest level of accreditation in child abuse prevention, demonstrating our commitment to the strongest standards in child protection.
