Applications are now CLOSED for 2027 exhibits
The Public Gallery Program began as a collaborative initiative between the Peter White Public Library and the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture, created to provide inclusive, accessible exhibit space for local and regional artists. It unified two existing galleries—the Huron Mountain Club Gallery and the Deo Gallery—under a shared curatorial process and coordinated schedule.
The program features bi-monthly rotating exhibits, opening receptions, and free public access, fostering connection, cultural engagement, and lifelong learning. Through shared resources and streamlined operations, it has become a model of creative collaboration.
As of Summer 2025, the program has transitioned to full operation under the Peter White Public Library, continuing its mission to showcase diverse artistic voices and serve as a cultural and educational resource for the community. The City Office of Arts and Culture will continue to partner in the curation process and promotional support.
