Teacher & Para of the Year

The Moore Teacher of the Year, Jasmin Lagarde, and Paraprofessional of the Year, Marla Lacy, were recognized for the 2025-2026 school year. Moore Elementary is honored to recognize both staff members for their dedication, commitment, and advocacy they demonstrate. Both are all-in for kids and have a love for all children. Miss Lagarde and Ms. Lacy are invaluable to the campus and community.

12th Superintendent’s Fun Run raises $95,000 for student scholarships

April 2, 2026—CFISD staff, students, community members and business partners gathered at the Berry Center and Cy-Fair FCU Stadium for the 12th Superintendent’s Fun Run on March 28. The fundraiser concluded with CFISD and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital representatives presenting a check worth $95,000 to the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF).

12th Superintendent’s Fun Run set for March 28 at the Berry Center

Jan. 30, 2026—The 12th Superintendent’s Fun Run is scheduled for March 28 from 8-11 a.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) and Towne Lake community. Filled with exciting live entertainment, two course layouts for running or walking, kids’ activities and other family-friendly attractions, the fun run is the largest outdoor fundraising event in the district. Funds raised will directly benefit student scholarships through the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation.

Texas Educational Theatre Association Exemplary District of Distinction

July 24, 2025—CFISD was recently named an Exemplary District of Distinction by the Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA). This is the highest designation awarded to individual schools and districts that are making outstanding contributions to raising the standards for theatre education through achievement, curation of resources, diversity and advocacy for theatre arts.
