Hospitals
When I saw the theme for June, I couldn’t believe it. I knew instantly what I would do for my block as well as how to actually make the block.
See, I have a special connection with…band-aids. Yep. Ever since I was little, I had this knack for always, and I mean ALWAYS, getting hurt. But I won’t bore you with all the details.
Band-aids are truly helpful. Whether it is a small scrape and a boo boo provides an extra touch or a fairly large cut that doesn’t quite need stitches, band-aids are the perfect choice. My favorite ones are the tan, fabric ones. But we have Minions, Frozen, Mickey Mouse, along with others, in the house when you need a friend around the boo boo. I grew up maybe getting a smiley face drawn on mine.

This is typical in my sewing room. This month I have a quick and easy pattern for you. I have designed it in a pink band-aid and a blue band-aid, but you could use anything. I like those fun band-aids. Can’t wait to see what you make. #quiltblockmania is where to post your creations on Instagram.
Ironically, I spent several hours with my daughter in the Emergency Room on June 1. The humor was not lost on me. It figures. (She is fine. A virus plus food poisoning is not pretty).
The other designers have designed their hospital theme blocks too. Check them out.
