• G’day
    DAY 2 – SPEAK LORD
Are you listening for the voice of God?
In a world of noise, do you know the sound of His whisper?
    #WorshipAndTheWord – A Listening Servant
    #HereIAmSendMe #DarleneZschech
God often speaks to those who make room to hear Him.
Through Jesus Christ, we are no longer separated from God. We are His sheep, and He still speaks to His people by His Spirit, through His Word, and with loving clarity.
Because we belong to Him, we do not have to live confused or directionless. A listening heart becomes a fruitful life.

    The Gentle Whisper of God
The Lord often speaks beyond the noise and spectacle.
    1 Kings 19:11–12 (BSB)
“Then the LORD said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD.’ And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and powerful wind tore through the mountains and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.”
God is not limited to dramatic moments—He often meets us in quiet intimacy.

    The Voice of God
    God still speaks today.
    John 10:27
“My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.”
Sons and daughters of God can know His voice.

    Samuel’s Response
    The right posture unlocks direction.
    1 Samuel 3:10
“Then the LORD came and stood there, calling as at other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ And Samuel answered, ‘Speak, for Your servant is listening.’”
    Availability invites revelation.

    This Is the Way
God gives direction to listening hearts.
    Isaiah 30:21
“And whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: ‘This is the way. Walk in it.’”
Isaiah 6:8: Then I heard the voice of the Lord... “Here am I. Send me!”
God faithfully guides those who stay attentive to Him, and make themselves available

    Beloved:
Reject noise, distraction, and spiritual dullness. Cast down the lie that God is silent. He is speaking—through Scripture, conviction, wisdom, and peace. Stay close to the Good Shepherd, and know his voice above the noise.
Position yourself today. Slow down. Listen again. The Lord still leads willing hearts.
    Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You that You are not distant or silent. I reject confusion, distraction, and unbelief. I receive clarity, discernment, and a listening spirit.
Holy Spirit, sharpen my ears to hear the voice of Jesus and strengthen me to obey quickly.
I am led by God and taught by His Spirit.
    In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion gor today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY APRIL 27, 2026.

    "THE TEACHER (1)"

'...The Holy Spirit .....will teach you all things ....' John 14:26 NKJV

JESUS SAID the Holy Spirit is the greatest Teacher of all. Here’s why: 1) Because He will interact with you. When you are interested enough to ask questions, the learning process has really begun. Your questions don’t bother God if they come from a hungry heart. Jesus said, ‘Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find…’ (Matthew 7:7 KJV). It’s okay to be inquisitive. God doesn’t want you to be passive and just accept everything that comes into your life. He wants you to question Him so that you can find clarity and direction. 2) Because He wants to teach you how to live. That means showing up every day for class, and not just every once in a while. It means listening intently, taking notes, and doing the reading assignments you’re given. It means trusting that the Teacher knows what He’s talking about, and that the knowledge you’re receiving will equip you to go out and succeed in life. You may not see much value in what a teacher is telling you right now, or think it relates to you personally. Perhaps you’re only interested in passing the test, graduating, and getting out of school. No, passing tests only proves you’ve a good memory, not that you’ve really learned! A good teacher’s goal is to create in you: a) a hunger for knowledge; b) an ability to seek out and understand things when he or she is no longer around; c) a willingness to put what you’ve learned into practice. You say, ‘How can I know I’m truly learning?’ John answers, ‘…Continue to live in Christ, as [He] taught you’ (1 John 2:27 NCV).

MD.ii. TOUGH TIMES IN THE LAST DAYS

"There will be terrible times in the last days." - 2 Timothy 3:1

Paul teaches us that tough times will come in the last days. In Revelation 12:12 we read that the evil one has come down and is filled with anger. He knows he does not have much time left.

The evil one knows that he has less and less time. He is aware that God will deal with him completely and throw him into the bottomless pit, into the lake of burning sulfur. The evil one knows that Jesus conquered him at Calvary and that his destiny was decided back then.

Before it comes to this, the evil one has been trying to destroy and mislead as many as possible. In Matthew 24 and Mark 13 we read a lot about the signs of the end times.

I want to quote a few facts: 'You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen' (Matthew 24:6). These are the birth pains preceding the coming of Jesus. The faster the events occur one after the other, the closer we are to the coming of Jesus.

'You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me' (Matthew 24:6-9).

Christians who worship God in spirit and truth, who profess Jesus Christ as Lord, will be increasingly hated. In many countries today, Christians are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and killed. These are all signs of the end time.

Jesus told us these things so we will not worry but endure till the end and be ready for His coming. Sooner or later it will happen. Will you be there?

You do not have to be afraid if you have accepted Jesus in your life and your name is in the Book of life.

    2. MP.i. Morning Prayer

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ⏤ Matthew 6:10

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is our prayer this morning. We want Your kingdom to come fully into our hearts so that everything in us submits to Your rule. We want You to be the King of our lives, seated on the throne of our hearts, ruling over our affections, feelings, and desires. So we pray that Your kingdom may come in our lives. May everything in us that opposes You be brought into submission. May our ways that are not right be changed to align with Your holy ways.

Sometimes we get frustrated and upset when things don't go our way, when our work is hard, or when our plans don't succeed as we hoped. Father, forgive us for our discontent and rebellion. We know You are training us and that we are in Your school all the time. We know that when we complain and get upset about our circumstances, we not only grieve You but also hinder Your work in us. Help us to humbly submit to all Your ways and learn well the lesson of submission and trust in Your sovereign plan for us. We want to be truly able to say, "May Your will be done." Give us the grace to say it every day and every hour. Help us to look up to You . . .
    when the path is rough,
    when the tasks are hard,
when it hurts us to go on—
and to say with love, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

We commit ourselves to You for the day. It may not bring us all sunshine, gladness, and ease. It may have clouds, pain, and hardship. But, Father, we want to make it a sweet, beautiful day—whether it is bright or dark. Give us much of Your Spirit, and may we live close to You all day. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

  • 🕊The Spirits Gentle Whisper:

-Elijah expected to meet God in the wind, earthquake or fire. Instead, God came in a Gentle Whisper. Sometimes the spirit works in quiet ways prompting us, guiding us, producing fruit like love, joy and peace in unseen ways.

-In a world of noise, it's easy to miss The Whisper. We look for dramatic experiences, but often the Spirit transforms us slowly, like seeds growing into fruit (Galatians 5:22-23). Silence, prayer, and scripture helps us tune into His voice.

-This doesn't mean The Spirit never moves powerfully. Act 2 shows wind, fire and bold proclamation but it reminds us that He is not limited to big moments. He speaks both in whispers and in wonders.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotional for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    THURSDAY 23RD APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD.

    *TEXT:*
    MATTHEW 27:50-54.
    50. And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit.
    51. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
    52. and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.
    53. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
    54. When the centurion and those with Him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely He was the Son of God!”

    *TOPIC:*
    GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
The veil in the temple separating the Holy of Holies from the rest of the sanctuary did not allow worshippers to access God's presence. Only the high priest entered once a year on the Day of Atonement. The death of Jesus broke this barrier, removing the separation between God and the people. Therefore, through Christ's death, access to God is now open to all believers without restriction (read 10:19-20). The bodies of the saints coming out of the tombs show Christ's power over death and the grave, assuring believers of resurrection into God's eternal presence. Today, only sin can separate man from God.
Do you desire to be in God's presence?
Then, avoid the deeds of darkness.

    *REFLECTION:*
Jesus' death gives access to God.

    *PRAYER:*
Thank You, Father, for opening the door to Your presence. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    2 CHRONICLES 10-12.

    ii. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

"It is good for me that I was troubled, so that I might learn Your Law." - Psalm 119:71

What gospel is this that says it is good to be troubled? And all this for one purpose: 'so that I might learn Your Law.' The Lord God wants to teach us time and again to trust in Him. Psalm 34:18 says: 'The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.'

God wants us to learn from our problems and difficulties. He is a God who loves His children and wants to be involved in our difficult circumstances. When we understand how God repeatedly delivered His people from trouble, we will also acknowledge that God will deliver us from ours.

1 Corinthians 10:11 says: 'These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us.'

God wants to save us the same way He delivered His people. Exodus 3:7 says: 'The Lord told him: I have certainly seen the oppression of My people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers.' Isn't this a great consolation? God knows what we are going through. He knows our feelings, pain, sadness and struggle!

You can do whatever you want to save yourself, but in the end, you will have to acknowledge that God is the only One who can help you! Does this mean we do not struggle? On the contrary! We must have faith and trust in God. Difficulties should bring us closer to God and not further away from Him. Tribulation teaches us to pray and to call upon God. God loves us and He is full of compassion.

Isaiah 63:9 says: 'In all their distress He too was distressed.' Dear reader, as we begin to cry to God in our tribulation, He begins to work on our deliverance. Keep courage and trust God. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine!

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
    2Corinthians 5:21

    Dead in Sin

We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we are sinners. When I first heard this saying I pondered it, to get it deep in my heart. My pride wants to say I am a good person, but God sees me as I am – a sinner. Born dead in trespasses and sins. Born with an inherent sin nature. Born in enmity with the Father. Born in desperate need of a Saviour.

    Federal Head

Adam, created in God’s image, was authorised to rule the earth righteously, for God breathed into him the breath of lives – a living body, soul and spirit. Commissioned as the federal head of mankind, his was the responsibility. Together with Eve, he was created to rule under the God’s righteous authority – and Adam walked in the garden and had sweet fellowship with his God and Lord. God’s Spirit and man’s spirit fellowshipping together – Spirit to spirit communion.

    Man’s Choice

Adam was given one command and a freewill to choose to obey or elect to rebel. His beloved wife was deceived by the serpent – questioning the truth of God’s Word. But as the authorised leader under God’s authority, it was Adam’s responsibility – and Adam choose to join her in sin, and fellowship with his Lord was severed.

    Sin Nature

Adam chose to disregard God’s word of truth, which is rebellion against God, but the day of his disobedience was the day man’s sin nature became a reality – for the seed of the man became tainted with sin and his progeny are tainted with sin. We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are sinners. We sin because we are born of Adam’s sinful seed, dead in sins – estranged from God.

    Eternal Separation

The federal head chose to sin, unaware of the eternal consequence of his choice, for the wages of sin is separation and so all his seed were condemned to damnation. Adam was created for fellowship with the Lord but sin separated his spirit from God. And such would have been the fate of all humanity if God had not designed salvation. His perfect, unblemished, sinless Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.. so that Adam and his fallen race could be reunited in spirit with God – by faith.. faith in the Seed of the woman, not faith in any of the fallen progeny of Adam – salvation in the Son of Man.. not salvation by any other man or means or method.

    Rescue Strategy

We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are a race of sinners. But God ordained a new race, a new man, a new creation, a new federal head. God planned for a second Adam; an obedient man having Holy Spirit to human spirit communion. God decided a rescue strategy – to redeem Adam’s fallen race from all condemnation – but there was no man to stand in the gap for all have sinned and all fall short,

    Sinless Sacrifice

God alone is good – so God alone could save – but God is Sprit and man is flesh, and only a perfect Man could reach God on behalf of sinful, sin-infected man, Only a perfect Man would be sufficient to satisfy God’s righteous requirement. Only a sinless sacrifice, willing to die for His people, could pay the price for sin.. so God took on human flesh so man could be clothed in God’s righteousness. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf – so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Cor5:21

    God-Man

God made the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was the second person of the eternal Trinity, to come in the likeness of human flesh, through the pure Seed of the fallen woman. God, Who alone is righteous became the only righteous man that ever lived, for the rest of humanity are sinful, sin-infected people. He alone was the only One Who could pay the price for sinful, sin-infected man and the many sins that each sinful man committed. And so the One who knew no sin – the One Who did not sin, HE BECAME SIN on our behalf, and the wrath of God was poured out on Him in full measure – upon that sinless God-Man, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Cor.5:21

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. ⏤ Psalm 91:9-10

In the darkest times, we can rest knowing that God is our refuge and fortress. ⏤ Charles Spurgeon

As the day ends, we come to You, Father, to hide ourselves away for the night in the secret place of the Most High, and to rest through the darkness under the shadow of the Almighty. O God, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. You will deliver us from the traps of the enemy and from deadly dangers. You will cover us with Your wings, and under Your wings of love, we will find refuge. Your truth will be our shield and protection. We won’t be afraid of the terror of the night, or the arrows that fly by day, or the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, or the destruction that strikes at noon. None of these dangers can harm us. Even if a thousand fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, the peril won’t come near us.

You, Lord, are our refuge. Because we have made You, O Most High, our home, no evil will come upon us, no plague will come near our dwelling. You will command Your angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways. They will lift us up in their hands, so we won’t even strike our foot against a stone. We will tread on the lion and the cobra without harm; we will trample the great lion and the serpent underfoot.

Because we have set our love on You, You will deliver us from all danger. You will be with us in trouble; You will deliver us and honor us. With long life, You will satisfy us and show us Your salvation.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening devotional for today. i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* THURSDAY 23RD APRIL, 2026. *SUB-THEME:* THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE. *TOPIC:* GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD. *TEXT:* MATTHEW 27:50-54. 50. And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit. 51. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52. and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. 54. When the centurion and those with Him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely He was the Son of God!” *TOPIC:* GRANTS ACCESS TO GOD. *THE MESSAGE:* The veil in the temple separating the Holy of Holies from the rest of the sanctuary did not allow worshippers to access God's presence. *REFLECTION:* Jesus' death gives access to God. *PRAYER:* Thank You, Father, for opening the door to Your presence. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* COLOSSIANS 2:15. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* 2 CHRONICLES 10-12. ii. BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS "It is good for me that I was troubled, so that I might learn Your Law." - Psalm 119:71 What gospel is this that says it is good to be troubled? And all this for one purpose: 'so that I might learn Your Law.' The Lord God wants to teach us time and again to trust in Him. Psalm 34:18 says: 'The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.' God wants us to learn from our problems and difficulties. He is a God who loves His children and wants to be involved in our difficult circumstances. When we understand how God repeatedly delivered His people from trouble, we will also acknowledge that God will deliver us from ours. 1 Corinthians 10:11 says: 'These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us.' God wants to save us the same way He delivered His people. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine! https://www.theblessingdevotional.com iii. Federal Head Adam, created in God’s image, was authorised to rule the earth righteously, for God breathed into him the breath of lives – a living body, soul and spirit. Man’s Choice Adam was given one command and a freewill to choose to obey or elect to rebel. His beloved wife was deceived by the serpent – questioning the truth of God’s Word. But as the authorised leader under God’s authority, it was Adam’s responsibility – and Adam choose to join her in sin, and fellowship with his Lord was severed. Sin Nature Adam chose to disregard God’s word of truth, which is rebellion against God, but the day of his disobedience was the day man’s sin nature became a reality – for the seed of the man became tainted with sin and his progeny are tainted with sin. We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are sinners. We sin because we are born of Adam’s sinful seed, dead in sins – estranged from God. Eternal Separation The federal head chose to sin, unaware of the eternal consequence of his choice, for the wages of sin is separation and so all his seed were condemned to damnation. Rescue Strategy We are not sinners because we sin – we sin because we are a race of sinners. But God ordained a new race, a new man, a new creation, a new federal head. God planned for a second Adam; an obedient man having Holy Spirit to human spirit communion. God decided a rescue strategy – to redeem Adam’s fallen race from all condemnation – but there was no man to stand in the gap for all have sinned and all fall short, Sinless Sacrifice God alone is good – so God alone could save – but God is Sprit and man is flesh, and only a perfect Man could reach God on behalf of sinful, sin-infected man, Only a perfect Man would be sufficient to satisfy God’s righteous requirement. Only a sinless sacrifice, willing to die for His people, could pay the price for sin.. so God took on human flesh so man could be clothed in God’s righteousness. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf – so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2Cor5:21 God-Man God made the Lord Jesus Christ, Who was the second person of the eternal Trinity, to come in the likeness of human flesh, through the pure Seed of the fallen woman. 2Cor.5:21 Post navigation Previous Post Previous The Iniquity Of Us All Proudly powered by WordPress. 2. God Is Faithful to Exhausted People
(God Is Faithful to Flawed People – Elijah)
    ________________________________________
    Scripture Reading (NKJV):
    - 1 Kings 18:36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.
    - 37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
    - 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
    - 39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is God! The LORD, He is God!”
    - 40 And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.
    - 41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”
    - 45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.
    - 46 Then the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
    - 1 Kings 19:1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
    - 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”
    - 3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
    - 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
    - 5 Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.”
    - 6 Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again.
    - 7 And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”
    - 8 So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.
    - 9 And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
    - 10 So he said, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”
    - 11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake;
    - 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
    - 13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave.
    - 15 Then the LORD said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus…
    - 18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

    1. Fire from Heaven Does Not Prevent Collapse
Elijah stands on Mount Carmel in chapter 18 as a towering figure of faith. He prays, and fire falls. Not symbolic fire. Not poetic fire. Fire that consumes stone, water, sacrifice—everything. The people fall on their faces. Revival breaks out in a moment.
    And then chapter 19 happens.
One threat. One message from Jezebel. And Elijah runs.
This is one of Scripture’s most honest moments. Great victory does not guarantee emotional stability. Spiritual triumph does not eliminate physical exhaustion. Elijah is not faithless—he is depleted.
God does not rebuke him for collapsing. He records it.

    2. God’s First Response Is Not Correction, but Care
Elijah sits under a broom tree and asks to die. This is not polished theology. This is not composed prayer. This is a man at the end.
    God’s response is striking.
    He lets him sleep.
    He feeds him.
    He lets him sleep again.
    He feeds him again.
No lecture. No rebuke. No “Elijah, after all I’ve done…” speech.
    Just food and rest.
Sometimes the most spiritual thing God gives a man is a nap and a meal.
God deals with Elijah as a whole person, not just a theological problem.

    3. God Listens to Distorted Perspective Without Panic
When God finally speaks, He asks a question:
“What are you doing here, Elijah?”
Elijah answers with a mixture of truth and distortion. He has been zealous—that part is true. But then: “I alone am left.” That part is not.
God lets him speak it out.
This is important. God is not threatened by your discouraged version of reality. He hears it fully before correcting it gently.
Exhaustion often rewrites the story in our heads. God does not shame us for that—He meets us in it.

    4. God Is Not Always in the Spectacular
Elijah had just seen fire fall from heaven. If anyone expected God to show up dramatically again, it would be him.
Instead—wind, earthquake, fire… and God is in none of them.
Then comes a still small voice.
God is not abandoning power—He is revealing something deeper. Elijah does not need another spectacle. He needs restoration.
The God of Mount Carmel is also the God of quiet caves.
And often, the exhausted soul is healed not by noise, but by gentleness.

    5. God Corrects Without Crushing
After Elijah speaks again, God does correct him.
    “You are not alone.”
    Seven thousand remain.
Notice how God does this. He does not mock Elijah’s perspective. He replaces it.
Exhaustion narrows vision. God widens it.
This is divine faithfulness—not agreeing with our despair, but not abandoning us to it either.

    6. God Sends Him Back—Not Because He Failed, but Because He Is Not Finished
God’s final act is not to retire Elijah.
    He recommissions him.
    “Go, return…”
Elijah is still part of the plan. His exhaustion did not disqualify him. His collapse did not cancel his calling.
God restores him and sends him back into meaningful work.
Faithfulness is not proven by never collapsing. It is proven by being restored and continuing on.

    Reflection Questions
    1. Why do you think Elijah collapsed so quickly after such a great victory (1 Kings 18–19)?
    2. What does God’s response to Elijah teach you about how He deals with exhaustion?
    3. In what ways might your current perspective be shaped by fatigue rather than truth?
    4. How does it encourage you that God recommissioned Elijah instead of replacing him?

    ________________________________________

    Prayer Points
    1. Thank God that He deals gently with you in seasons of exhaustion.
    2. Ask for the humility to receive rest, not just push through.
    3. Pray for clarity where fatigue has distorted your thinking.
    4. Ask God for renewed strength to continue in what He has called you to do.

God Corrects Without Crushing After Elijah speaks again, God does correct him. “You are not alone.” Seven thousand remain. Notice how God does this. He does not mock Elijah’s perspective. He replaces it. Exhaustion narrows vision. God widens it. This is divine faithfulness—not agreeing with our despair, but not abandoning us to it either. 1 Kings 19:14 (NKJV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+19%3A14&version=NKJV 1 Kings 19:18 (NKJV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+19%3A18&version=NKJV ________________________________________ 6. God Sends Him Back—Not Because He Failed, but Because He Is Not Finished God’s final act is not to retire Elijah. He recommissions him. “Go, return…” Elijah is still part of the plan. His exhaustion did not disqualify him. His collapse did not cancel his calling. God restores him and sends him back into meaningful work. Faithfulness is not proven by never collapsing. It is proven by being restored and continuing on. 1 Kings 19:15 (NKJV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+19%3A15&version=NKJV Galatians 6:9 (NKJV): https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+6%3A9&version=NKJV ________________________________________ Reflection Questions 1. ________________________________________ Prayer Points 1. Thank God that He deals gently with you in seasons of exhaustion. 2. Ask for the humility to receive rest, not just push through. 3. Pray for clarity where fatigue has distorted your thinking. 4. Ask God for renewed strength to continue in what He has called you to do. ________________________________________ For Further Study (NKJV): Psalm 23:1–3 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+23%3A1-3&version=NKJV Matthew 11:28–30 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+11%3A28-30&version=NKJV 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Corinthians+12%3A9-10&version=NKJV ________________________________________ #HolyWitBibleStudy #GodIsFaithful #Elijah #GordonMcGinnis

  • Zechariah 14:

"1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark*:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts."
Zechariah 14: "1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark*: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

  • THE ADVENT TRUTH.
Being a Seventh-day Adventist means having a very unique understanding of the prophetic times we are living in.
    .
For example, I watched a documentary on the Bermuda Triangle today called draining the oceans. One of the deadliest features of said geographic area is the Puerto Rico Trench.
    .
It’s five miles deep. And if it produces a magnitude 9 earthquake, it could produce tsunamis capable of reaching the east coast of the USA, and also the coasts of Europe.
    .
There are many large cities on the east coast and it is no secret that cities are becoming more and more wicked and idolatrous as they grow.
    .
God has often used natural disasters to being judgments on unrepentant cities all through history. Port Royal in Jamaica, and San Francisco in 1906 are a couple of examples.
    .
Here’s some interesting quotes on this:
    .
The time is near when large cities will be swept away, and all should be warned of these coming judgments. – LDE 111.5
    .
    I am bidden to declare the message that cities full of transgression, and sinful in the extreme, will be destroyed by earthquakes, by fire, by flood. All the world will be warned that there is a God who will display His authority as God. His unseen agencies will cause destruction, devastation, and death. All the accumulated riches will be as nothingness.... – {CL 7.4}

On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall no customary work on it. (vs. 37) These are the feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day – (vs. 38) besides the Sabbaths of the LORD, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the LORD (vs. 39) Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD for seven days; on the first day there shall be a sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day a sabbath-rest. (vs. 35) “First day: holy convocation” (vs. 36) “Eighth day: solemn assemble” An unusual “eighth day” points to eternity/new creation. (vs. 37-38) These feasts supplement (not replace) regular sacrifices. (vs. 39) “Ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days.” After harvest-great joy and thanksgiving. • DID YOU KNOW?
Non-Christian Historians Confirm the Darkness at Christ’s Crucifixion.

When Jesus Christ was crucified, something extraordinary happened: for three hours, darkness covered the land. This event is recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke (Matthew 27:45, Mark 15:33, Luke 23:44–45). What makes it even more remarkable is that this darkness was not only witnessed by those who followed Jesus—it was also noted by non-Christian historians of the time.

Thallus, a historian writing around AD 52, is one of the earliest to mention it. Although his original writings are lost, later historian Julius Africanus preserves Thallus’s attempt to explain the darkness as a solar eclipse. Africanus points out that this explanation doesn’t work, since Passover occurs at a full moon and solar eclipses only happen at new moons. Thallus’s effort to explain it actually shows that the event was widely known and taken seriously.

Another historian, Phlegon from Tralles (modern Turkey), writing around AD 137, also records unusual darkness at noon and even mentions that stars appeared in the sky. He also notes an earthquake around the same time. Like Thallus, Phlegon tries to attribute it to an eclipse, but the timing, duration, and the earthquake make a natural explanation impossible. His account lines up with the Gospel descriptions, showing that people outside the Christian faith recognized something extraordinary had happened.

Tertullian, a writer in the second century, mentions that the darkness was recorded in Roman archives. Africanus, writing in the early third century, also confirms the darkness and the earthquake. Together, these sources—from Rome, Tralles, Palestine, and Carthage—show that the event was noticed across the ancient world and recorded by multiple observers.

The evidence is clear: this was not just a story or legend. Non-Christian historians independently documented the unusual darkness, often struggling to explain it naturally. Their accounts, along with the Gospel records, provide strong historical confirmation that the crucifixion was accompanied by extraordinary events. Both Africanus and Tertullian, who preserved these accounts, would go on to become Christians, showing the lasting impact and significance of what they recorded.

  • STORACALS OF PROPHECY # 12
Hello friends, family, and my brothers, and sisters in Christ.

    This is Brother Johnny Gass.

    Welcome to Bible study.

Study to show thyself to approved unto God, a Workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Please share these lessons with everyone you know for the expansion of the kingdom of God.

    Resting the Land.

Our world was first created with a perfect balance in nature. Man, animals, and plants lived in total harmony. But with the entrance of sin, everything changed. Man started eating animals, and animals began eating each other. Thorns and thistles sprouted everywhere. The scourge of sin depleted even the soil. God told Cain, "When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength." Genesis 4:12. This is one reason the Lord commanded the children of Israel to rest the farmlands every seventh year (Exodus 23:10, 11). It would give the ground a chance to recover its vitality and provide a volunteer crop for the poor to eat. But most of God's people ignored this law or simply refused to obey it. Then came a day of awful judgment. Nebuchadnezzar, the Babylonian king, came to Judah and executed those who had rebelled against him. Others were carried off to the golden city of Babylon. Meanwhile, the land of Israel lay quietly in ruins, "until it had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath." 2 Chronicles 36:21. At the end of 70 years, the survivors returned to Canaan to replant the promised land and to rebuild Jerusalem. For 6,000 years now, Jesus has been sowing the seed of the gospel. The Bible tells us that "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years." 2 Peter 3:8. Soon King Jesus will come to harvest the world. Some will be slain by the brightness of His coming, and the rest will be carried off to His golden kingdom. Then this tired old planet will keep a 1,000-year Sabbath!

    1. What events mark the beginning of the 1,000 years?

1 Thessalonians 4:16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, ... and the dead in Christ shall ____ first.

Revelation 20:4, 5 And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The one thousand years of Revelation 20 is often called the millennium. The word "millennium" is simply a Latin composite of two words: "milli," meaning "one thousand," and "annum," meaning "years." The second coming of Jesus and the resurrection of the righteous mark the beginning of the 1,000 years. The saints of all ages (described as "blessed and holy" in verse 6) will be raised in this first resurrection.

    2. What else will happen at the first resurrection?

1 Corinthians 15:51, 52. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be ______________, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised.

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord ... shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

Revelation 16:18, 20, 21 And there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. ... And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent [about 75 pounds].

Revelation 20:1, 2 An angel ... laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: See the 1,000-year chart at the end of this lesson for a summary of the events that will take place as the 1,000 years begin.

    3. Who will be raised in the second resurrection, and when will it take place?

John 5:28, 29. All that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done ________, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead [the wicked] lived not again until the thousand years were finished.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The wicked are raised in the second general resurrection at the close of the 1,000 years.

    4. What is the condition of the earth during the 1,000 years?

Isaiah 24:1. Behold, the Lord maketh the earth __________, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down.

Jeremiah 4:23-26 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled. ... There was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. ... The fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.

Jeremiah 25:33 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The earth will be totally devastated by the earthquake and hailstorm that strike at Jesus' second coming. It will be left in complete darkness. Dead people will lie strewn across the earth's surface, with no one mourning, because none will be left alive. The righteous will all be in heaven, and the wicked will all be dead. (See supplement on "The Bottomless Pit.")

    5. Where will the saints be during the 1,000 years, and what will they be doing?

John 14:3. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that __________ __ ____, there ye may be also. (three word answer)

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: ... and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1 Corinthians 6:2, 3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? ... Know ye not that we shall judge angels?

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: During the 1,000 years the saints will be in heaven, participating in the judgment. They will not decide who is saved or lost, because God will already have that determined. They will simply confirm the judgments of God. "For thy judgments are made manifest." Revelation 15:4. The fairness of God's punishment for the lost will be affirmed, as well as the rewards for the righteous (Revelation 22:11, 12). This phase of the judgment is for the benefit of the saints. For example, suppose you get to heaven and discover that your beloved pastor is not there--yet some infamous criminal is there! You would probably need an explanation. The angels will guide us through the record books to settle any doubts. At the end of this phase of the judgment, all will be totally convinced of God's justice, love, and His impartial dealings with all. They will declare, "For true and righteous are his judgments." Revelation 19:2. (See supplement entitled "The 1,000-Year Chart.")

    6. What will happen at the close of the 1,000 years?

Zechariah 14:1, 4, 5, 9. Behold the day of the Lord cometh, ... And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of ________, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of __________ shall cleave in the midst thereof. ... And the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. ... And the Lord shall be king over all the earth.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: At the close of the 1,000 years, the New Jerusalem with the saints inside will descend from heaven and land on what is now the Mount of Olives. The Lord will flatten the hill to make a great plain for the city's landing site.

    7. What will happen next to free Satan from his prison?

Revelation 20:5, 7. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. ... And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be ________ out of his prison.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: After the wicked are resurrected, Satan will once again be free to deceive and manipulate them.

    8. What will Satan do when the wicked are raised?

Revelation 20:8, 9. And shall go out to ______________ the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Satan will deceive people into believing that he was unjustly deposed from heaven and that together they can capture the city and take control. Realizing they are shut out of the holy city, the wicked will organize an attack to conquer the New Jerusalem.

    9. At this crucial moment, what will stop everything?

Revelation 20:11, 12. And I saw a great white _________, and him that sat on it, ... and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: God's throne will suddenly appear in the heavens above the city, and the final phase of the judgment begins. The assault on the city of God is thus brought to an instant halt. The books will be opened, and every person's life will be made to pass before him. Everything will be open for the wicked and righteous to see (Luke 12:2, 3).

    10. What will happen after the wicked are judged?

Romans 14:11. As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall ______ to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:10, 11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should __________, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 19:1, 2 I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, ... true and righteous are his judgments.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The wicked will all freely admit that God has been fair and just and that He tried desperately to save them, but they openly chose to reject Him and to live a selfish life of sin. After this universal admission, the sin controversy will be forever settled and it will be safe to destroy sinners.

    11. What will happen next?

Revelation 20:9. ______ came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of __________.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: God's fire will then fall upon the wicked and form a vast lake of fire all around the city of God. This fire will eventually turn them all to ashes (Malachi 4:3). The devil will have no control over this fire, which is called hell. Instead, he and his angels will also be punished in the fire and then turned into ashes (Revelation 20:10; Ezekiel 28:18). There is no resurrection from this fire, which is called the second death (Revelation 20:14).

    12. After the fire goes out, what will God do for His people?

Isaiah 65:17. For, behold, I ______ new heavens and a new earth.

2 Peter 3:13 We, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: At the end of the 70 years of Babylonian captivity, the children of Israel returned to the promised land and rebuilt the city. After the millennium, the saints will witness Jesus create a new heavens (atmosphere) and a perfect new earth, where sin will never again rear its ugly head (Nahum 1:9). The paradise that Adam and Eve lost by sin will be restored in all of its Edenic glory. Peace, joy, love, and perfect happiness will rest upon God's people forever!

    13. Where will God and the righteous finally live?

Matthew 5:5. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the __________.

Revelation 21:3 Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Both God the Father and God the Son will live with their saints on the new earth. Just think of it--having God for a neighbor!

    14. Jesus says, "I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2. He has a mansion for you in the holy city. Will you now accept His offer of life eternal so He may give you the new birth and prepare you for His kingdom?

    Answer : ____________________

    The Bottomless Pit
The term "bottomless pit" from Revelation 20:1 is often misunderstood. It is translated from the Greek word "abusos," the root of the English word "abyss." In the Greek Old Testament, this word is used to refer to the formless, dark earth as it was before Creation. "And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep." Genesis 1:1, 2. The word "abusos" is used again in Luke 8:31 to illustrate a condition where demons have no one to possess or manipulate.

During the 1,000 years, the devil is chained by circumstances, "that he should deceive the nations no more." Revelation 20:3. A literal chain could never chain a spiritual being. Only one thing would prevent him from tempting people, and that is if there were no people alive! When Jesus comes, the wicked are all slain and the righteous taken to heaven, so Satan and his angels are confined to this planet with no one to tempt. For 1,000 years they will roam and behold the fruit of their rebellion. No more galling chain of circumstances has ever been forged. It is in this manner that Satan and his angels are bound. "And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited." Isaiah 24:22.

STORACALS OF PROPHECY # 12 Hello friends, family, and my brothers, and sisters in Christ. This is Brother Johnny Gass. Welcome to Bible study. Study to show thyself to approved unto God, a Workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Please share these lessons with everyone you know for the expansion of the kingdom of God. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The one thousand years of Revelation 20 is often called the millennium. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: See the 1,000-year chart at the end of this lesson for a summary of the events that will take place as the 1,000 years begin. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The wicked are raised in the second general resurrection at the close of the 1,000 years. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The earth will be totally devastated by the earthquake and hailstorm that strike at Jesus' second coming. It will be left in complete darkness. Dead people will lie strewn across the earth's surface, with no one mourning, because none will be left alive. The righteous will all be in heaven, and the wicked will all be dead. (See supplement on "The Bottomless Pit.") 5. Where will the saints be during the 1,000 years, and what will they be doing? John 14:3. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that __________ __ ____, there ye may be also. (three word answer) Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: ... and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 1 Corinthians 6:2, 3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? ... Know ye not that we shall judge angels? Answer : ____________________ NOTE: During the 1,000 years the saints will be in heaven, participating in the judgment. (See supplement entitled "The 1,000-Year Chart.") 6. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: At the close of the 1,000 years, the New Jerusalem with the saints inside will descend from heaven and land on what is now the Mount of Olives. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: After the wicked are resurrected, Satan will once again be free to deceive and manipulate them. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Satan will deceive people into believing that he was unjustly deposed from heaven and that together they can capture the city and take control. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: God's throne will suddenly appear in the heavens above the city, and the final phase of the judgment begins. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The wicked will all freely admit that God has been fair and just and that He tried desperately to save them, but they openly chose to reject Him and to live a selfish life of sin. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: God's fire will then fall upon the wicked and form a vast lake of fire all around the city of God. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: At the end of the 70 years of Babylonian captivity, the children of Israel returned to the promised land and rebuilt the city. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Both God the Father and God the Son will live with their saints on the new earth. Just think of it--having God for a neighbor! 14. Jesus says, "I go to prepare a place for you." John 14:2. He has a mansion for you in the holy city. Will you now accept His offer of life eternal so He may give you the new birth and prepare you for His kingdom? Answer : ____________________ Supplemental Study The 1,000-Year Chart Events that begin the 1,000 years: 1. Jesus returns FOR His saints, and the righteous dead are resurrected. 2. Wicked are slain by the Lord's coming, plus devastating earthquake and hail. 3. Living righteous are changed, then caught up to meet the Lord in the air. 4. Cloud carries the righteous to heaven. Conditions and events during the 1,000 years: 1. Saints in heaven participate in judgment of the wicked. 2. Satan and his angels are forced to remain on earth in total devastation and darkness. 3. No people are alive on earth. Events at the close of the 1,000 years: 1. Jesus returns WITH His saints, and the holy city descends upon the Mount of Olives. 2. Wicked are resurrected, and Satan persuades wicked to attack the holy city. 3. Wicked are judged, then punished by fire from heaven that eventually devours the lost. 4. God creates new heaven and a new earth on ashes of a purified earth. The Bottomless Pit The term "bottomless pit" from Revelation 20:1 is often misunderstood.
