• Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY APRIL 20, 2026.

    "STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS!"

    '....But they...comparing themselves…are not wise.’   2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV

ARE YOU so busy analysing your vices that you don’t have time to appreciate your virtues? Or so caught up in scrutinising others that you don’t value what God has given you? God never intended you to compare yourself with anybody else. ‘Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original’ (Galatians 5:25-26 TM). By making comparisons, you’re implying that God made a mistake in making you as you are. Furthermore, you’re allowing others to define your worth, and giving them control over your self-esteem. That’s too much power to give anybody! ‘…Since we find ourselves fashioned…excellently…and marvellously…let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be’ (Romans 12:5-6 TM). Build on your God-given talents and stop coveting what others have. God made you what He wanted you to be, redeemed you and called you to fulfil His plan for your life. Until you stop comparing yourself with others, you’ll never be able to give birth to the gifts He’s placed within you. So thank Him for making you who you are, and believe that He’s transforming you day by day into the person He wants you to become.

    ii. THE BLESSING OF GIVING

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25

One of the most important lessons we learnt at home was to give generously. We often gave our last penny and somehow, we never fell short because God always gave back. Our goods were multiplied by receiving more than we gave. Then we gave even more again!

Giving is Biblical. God intended and organized it to work as such. Jesus stood in the temple and watched as a widow gave everything and He praised her for this. God also sees your gift and He knows how much you have got left after you have given.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus says: 'Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.' The same God who said: 'Ask and you shall receive,' also says: 'Give, and it will be given to you.' God wants to bless His children and the way to be blessed is to give in the first place.

    The law of multiplication

Giving to God inevitably means receiving back from God.

'Honor the Lord with your riches, and with the first of all you grow. Then your store-houses will be filled with many good things and your barrels will flow over with new wine' (Proverbs 3:9-10).

What an abundant reward! If we give, as the Bible teaches, we put God's laws of multiplication into action.

A Scottish farmer planted a single grain in the year 1881. That single seed produced 2 ears with 560 grains. In 1882 those 560 grains produced half a bushel. In 1883 the harvest was 17 bushels. In 1884 these grains were sown on 17 hectares of land and produced a large harvest. One hundred bushels were sown in 1885 and 4 full trucks were harvested.

If God can give such a huge harvest in 5 years, would God not be able to multiply His seed? The seed is God's Word. Give your money and pour it out in the fertile ground of the gospel.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    i. Morning Prayer

[It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23

Begin each day with private prayer, with great earnestness. ⏤ George Whitefield

Father, as the brightness of a new day comes to us, we pause to receive Your blessing. We want to make this a fresh start in our lives. We want to forget the past—our mistakes and sins, our sorrows, and our struggles.

We begin this new day asking for the grace to live in a way that honors You and blesses the world.

As we go about our tasks today, we ask for Your special presence with us. We hold onto Your promises. You’ve said, "As your days, so shall your strength be!" and "I am with you always, even to the end of the world!" We wait for these promises to be fulfilled. We need Your guidance and help at every step. We are weak, but You can make us strong to endure. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we can bring something of the love of Jesus to everyone we meet. We want to live in this world as those who belong to Heaven, carrying Heaven’s love in our hearts and Heaven’s light in our faces.

Knowing our weakness, we cast our lives with all their burdens on You and ask You to keep us. Watch over each of us and bring us all together again this evening, if it is Your will. But if our circle is broken, if any of us are taken away from this earth, receive us into the Father’s house, where we will never have to leave.

We pray for those who will have a hard day today—the poor, the sick, the tempted, those in the darkness of sorrow. Show Yourself to them in tender love.

Hear our morning prayers. Keep us from all evil. Help us to faithfully do every duty. We ask all this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

  • Persecution In Australia
The Christian response to persecution is difficult because it defies human instinct. We are called to radical grace, not revenge. We don't just endure; we actively love, pray for our enemies, and bless those who curse us. We aren't passive victims—we are more than conquerors who entrust justice to the One who judges justly. In the "fiery ordeal," the Spirit of glory rests on you. Respond with gentleness and respect, and let your character disarm the darkness.
Mt 5:44: Love your enemies and pray for them.
Rom 12:14: Bless and do not curse.
1 Pet 2:23: He entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
Jas 1:2-4: The testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Father, help me to respond to hostility with Your radical grace. Strengthen me to overcome evil with good today. Amen.

  • TODAY'S MESSAGE

    SERMON TITLE:
“BE HONEST… HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE GIVING UP?”

    Be honest…
Have you ever smiled in public but cried in private?
Have you ever prayed… and felt like nothing was happening?
Have you ever reached a point where quitting looked easier than continuing?
    You’re not alone.
Even strong believers have had moments where they whispered, “God, I’m tired…”
The real question is not if you’ve felt like giving up…
The real question is: What do you do when that feeling comes?

    KEY BIBLE VERSES.

    1. Galatians 6:9
"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
This verse acknowledges something real—you will get tired. But it also gives a promise: there is a harvest, but only for those who refuse to quit.
    2. 1 Kings 19:4
"Elijah… prayed that he might die. ‘I have had enough, Lord,’ he said."
This is shocking—Elijah, a powerful prophet, reached a breaking point. This shows that feeling like giving up is human, not a sign of failure.
    3. Isaiah 40:31
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…" God does not just command endurance—He supplies strength for it.
    STRUCTURED POINTS

    1. Feeling Like Giving Up Does Not Mean You Are Weak

Even the strongest in faith have faced emotional exhaustion.
Elijah, Job, David—they all had moments of deep struggle.
Truth: Feeling overwhelmed is not failure.
Danger: Staying there without seeking God is.
    2. Isolation Fuels the Desire to Quit
When Elijah wanted to give up, he ran and isolated himself.
    The enemy knows this:
If he can isolate you, he can weaken you.
You were not designed to fight alone.
    3. God Strengthens You Before He Sends You Forward
Before God gave Elijah a new assignment, He first:
    Let him rest
    Fed him
    Restored him
God is not just interested in your assignment—
    He cares about your condition.
    4. Your Breaking Point Can Become Your Turning Point
Many people quit right before their breakthrough.
    What if:
    That struggle is preparing you?
    That delay is protecting you?
    That pain is shaping you?
Don’t abort what God is about to birth.

    REAL-LIFE / BIBLICAL STORY
The Story of Elijah (1 Kings 19)

Elijah had just won a major victory—calling down fire from heaven.
Yet shortly after, he ran for his life and said, “I have had enough.”
    But notice what God did:
    He didn’t rebuke Elijah
    He restored him
    He reassigned him
    Lesson:
Even when you feel like quitting, God is not done with you.
    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Talk to God honestly
Stop pretending. God can handle your truth.
    2. Rest your body and mind
Some battles are intensified by exhaustion.
    3. Stay connected to believers
    Don’t withdraw—find strength in fellowship.
    4. Feed your spirit daily
    Word + Prayer = Strength.
    5. Take one step at a time
You don’t need to solve everything today—just don’t quit today.
    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

The desire to give up often comes right before spiritual promotion
The enemy attacks hardest where your breakthrough is closest
God sometimes allows pressure to build endurance and maturity
Your struggle is not just about you—it’s connected to who you are called to help

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

What is currently making me feel like giving up?
Have I been honest with God about it?
Am I isolating myself or seeking support?
What promise of God am I holding onto in this season?
What small step can I take today instead of quitting?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1. Father, renew my strength where I feel weak.
    2. Lord, remove every spirit of discouragement and heaviness.
    3. Give me the grace to endure and not give up.
    4. Restore my joy, my passion, and my purpose.
    5. Help me trust You even when I don’t understand what I’m going through.

    CLOSING CALL TO ACTION

    Listen carefully…
You may feel like giving up…
But you are closer than you think.
That pain you feel? It’s real.
But so is the purpose inside you.
    Don’t quit now.
    Not after everything you’ve survived.
Not when God is still working behind the scenes.
    Stand up again.
    Pray again.
    Believe again.
Because your story will not end in defeat.

If you don’t give up… you will see the harvest.

If you have not given your life to Jesus kindly do so by joining a Bible believing Church.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    Morning devotion for today.

    i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. SUNDAY APRIL 19, 2026.
    "INSTRUMENT RATED (11)"

‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich…’  Proverbs 10:22 KJV

INSTRUMENT RATED for finances. Just when you get ahead a little bit, your car breaks down, your house needs a new roof, and your boiler gives up the ghost. We all experience it. But the instrument-rated believer can fly through financial storms because he has absolute confidence in his gauges and radio. If he looks at them and doubts their accuracy, he’s in serious difficulty. This must all be settled on the ground while he is going through the checklist. He must not take off into the storm if all is not in good order. When it comes to money matters, check your craft. Do you know what the Bible really says about your finances? To fly through or above a financial storm, you must practise biblical stewardship, know what God has promised to you, and stand on it in faith. ‘Give, and it shall be given unto you’ (Luke 6:38). Giving is an act of obedience. It honours God. But there are some things God will not do. He will not be generous with you if you have been stingy with Him or others. The Bible says, ‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich.’ You ask, ‘How rich does God want me to be?’ That depends on four things: your spiritual maturity, your God-given assignment in life, your willingness to put God in first place when it comes to finances, and exercising your faith. Giving is like sowing (2 Corinthians 9:6). When a seed is sown it produces a harvest. But the farmer has to go and get that harvest. Similarly, faith, plus obedience, draws the harvest of God’s blessing into your life.

ii. HOW DOES TRUE REVIVAL START?

"And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people." - Joel 2:28

Peter said on the day of Pentecost: 'What is happening here was spoken by the prophet Joel long ago.' This outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred about 2000 years ago and God's children around the world continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit when they ask God for it.

Deuteronomy 11:14 speaks of the early and late rains. It is very important to know that the early and the late rains were given to Israel by God for a reason. Verse 14 tells us very clearly: 'He will send the rains in their proper seasons — the early and late rains — so you can bring in your harvests.' They were needed to bring in the harvest.

    The harvest

The work of the Holy Spirit therefore has to do with bringing in the harvest of precious souls.

Jesus said to His disciples in Acts 1:8: 'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'

Two thousand years later we clearly see the work of God's Spirit all over the earth. It is the late rain. James 5:7-8 says: 'Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.'

On the day of Pentecost one hundred and twenty men and women were gathered in prayer. When the early rain came, three thousand people were saved after Peter's speech. After this, people came to faith in Jesus daily.

Zechariah 12:10 says that God will pour out the Spirit of prayer and grace. A prayer in the Holy Spirit will always focus on the prayer of Jesus, so that God will send workers into His vineyard. Revival comes through fervent, persistent prayer!

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. ⏤ Isaiah 40:31

Sunday clears away the rust of the whole week. ⏤ Joseph Addison

As we begin this holy Sunday, our Father, we ask for Your Sunday blessing. On this day, which reminds us of our Savior’s resurrection, may we rise to a holier, truer, and more heavenly life. May we walk in the light of Your love. As we wait on You, renew our strength so that we can run without growing weary and walk without fainting in the week ahead.

We ask that You bless us in our private and public worship on this holy day. May Your blessing rest on all worshiping assemblies of Your people. May this be a day of spiritual renewal in all the churches. Bless all Sunday schools. May Your grace fill the heart of every teacher, and may every child who receives instruction be blessed through Your word. Bless all missionaries and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, preparing them for worthy service.

We pray that You will bless us in our worship today. Help us leave behind every worldly thought and care as we enter Your sanctuary. As we wait before You, may we receive instruction from Your word and inspiration from Your Spirit, so that we may be strong for the battles and duties ahead. Help us today as we minister to others. May we bring love and peace to each other in our home. Help us bring comfort to those who are grieving, encouragement to those who are discouraged, and compassion to those who are in distress.

We give ourselves to You for a Sunday filled with blessing, love, and peace. May our home receive new divine influences from above. May this be a shining day in the story of our lives. And we will give You the praise and the honor forever. Amen.

Good morning, brethren. Morning devotion for today. i. 😀🎀💝🎁🌺🌹MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY. SUNDAY APRIL 19, 2026. "INSTRUMENT RATED (11)" ‘The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich…’  Proverbs 10:22 KJV INSTRUMENT RATED for finances. Bible In A Year: Jam 1-2, Ps 7:1-9, Pro 10:16. HOW DOES TRUE REVIVAL START? "And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people." - Joel 2:28 Peter said on the day of Pentecost: 'What is happening here was spoken by the prophet Joel long ago.' This outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred about 2000 years ago and God's children around the world continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit when they ask God for it. The harvest The work of the Holy Spirit therefore has to do with bringing in the harvest of precious souls. Jesus said to His disciples in Acts 1:8: 'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' Two thousand years later we clearly see the work of God's Spirit all over the earth. It is the late rain. James 5:7-8 says: 'Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.' On the day of Pentecost one hundred and twenty men and women were gathered in prayer. Revival comes through fervent, persistent prayer! https://www.theblessingdevotional.com 2. Morning, prayer for today. i. • Are we the generation that will see the return of Christ?

So there’s a theory that God has a 7000 year timeline for humanity and at that 7000 year mark is when Christ returns.

    According to the biblical timeline:

Adam to Abraham is roughly 2000 years.

Abraham to Christ is 2000 years.

And Christ to today is almost 2000 years.

And if we add 2000 years to when Christ died, which was between 30AD-33AD, that would put his return at 2030-2033!

It’s interesting to note that God created the universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th,

and, “A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8).

Likewise, humanity has worked and toiled since Adam for the past 6000 years.

But when Christ returns he will rule and reign in the Millennial Kingdom for 1000 years during that 7000th year and his children will finally enter his rest (Revelation 20)

In the same way, God worked for 6 days and rested on the 7th!

We can all sense that something big is coming. Everything is intensifying and crescendoing into some sort of climax

And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we are nearing the end of our 6000th year and approaching our 7000th.

And before you guys says, “No one knows the day or hour,”

    • Jesus actually rebuked the religious leaders at that time because they didn’t recognize their own Messiah (Matthew 16:1-4).

    • And the parable of the fig tree tell us that we can know the signs of the times and how near his return is (Matthew 24:32-34).

    • And Paul even tells us that “this day shouldn’t come upon us like a thief.” It should not catch us by surprise and we should be watchful and looking.

With this 7000 year timeline, the infrastructure for the one world antichrist system being built right now, Israel coming back into their land in 1948 after 2000 years of exile, and all the other end times bible prophecy being fulfilled…we may not know the day or hour, but we can know the season.

STOP SCROLLING AND READ THIS. YOUR SPIRITUAL FREEDOM DEPENDS ON IT.
Grace and peace to you, Remnant! I am coming to you today with a heavy, holy burden. The Spirit of the Lord is sounding an alarm in the heavenlies, and it is time for the Church to wake up! Too many believers are sitting in the pews, lifting holy hands, yet secretly being tormented, blocked, harassed, and defeated by demonic forces.
Why? Because demons cannot just randomly invade your life. They are legalists. They require a legal right—an open door—to enter and wreak havoc. Proverbs 26:2 declares, "Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight." Today, by the authority of God's Word, we are exposing the enemy's playbook. We are putting an indictment on the flesh and the devil. Here are The 7 Legal Doors That Give Demons Access to Your Life—and How to Slam Them Shut Forever!
DOOR 1: Unforgiveness, Offense, and Bitterness
This is the number one gateway for demonic torment in the Body of Christ today. When you refuse to forgive someone who wronged you, you are holding onto deadly poison.
The Indictment: Jesus warned us in Matthew 18:34-35 that the unforgiving servant was handed over to the "tormentors" (demons) until he paid his debt. Paul also warns in 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 that we must forgive "lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices."
The Reality: Your bitterness is a landing strip for demonic oppression, depression, and physical sickness.
DOOR 2: Generational Curses and Bloodline Iniquity
You may be born again, but if you have not actively renounced the sins of your forefathers, the enemy will try to collect a debt you don't owe!
The Indictment: Exodus 34:7 says God visits "the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation." * The Reality: Poverty, chronic diseases, divorce, and premature death that run in your family are not "just genetics." They are familiar spirits operating on the legal ground of unconfessed ancestral sin. You must draw the bloodline of Jesus over your physical bloodline!
DOOR 3: Ungodly Soul Ties and Sexual Immorality
Every time you are intimate with someone, a spiritual cord is formed. If that intimacy is outside the covenant of biblical marriage, you have just opened a massive portal to the demonic.
The Indictment: 1 Corinthians 6:16 warns, "Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For 'the two,' He says, 'shall become one flesh.'"
The Reality: You can pick up the demons, the depression, the lust, and the heaviness of the people you sleep with. Ungodly soul ties can also be formed through toxic, controlling, or manipulative relationships (even non-sexual ones).
DOOR 4: The Occult, Witchcraft, and False Religions
Many believers are dabbling in the demonic and calling it "entertainment."
The Indictment: Deuteronomy 18:10-12 strictly forbids divination, spiritism, and witchcraft, calling them an "abomination to the Lord."
The Reality: Reading horoscopes, using tarot cards, consulting psychics, practicing yoga (which is rooted in Hindu deity worship), or keeping occultic objects in your home gives territorial spirits a legal right to occupy your space and your mind.
DOOR 5: Habitual, Unconfessed Sin and Rebellion
Grace is not a license to sin; it is the power to overcome it! Willful, unrepentant sin is an invitation for the devil to take a seat at your table.
The Indictment: Ephesians 4:27 tells us, "nor give place [topos: a territory or room] to the devil." 1 Samuel 15:23 declares that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft."
The Reality: When you know what God's Word says and you willfully choose to live in pride, lying, theft, or secret addiction, you step out from under God's umbrella of protection.
DOOR 6: Trauma, Debilitating Fear, and Anxiety
Fear is the dark counterpart to faith. Just as faith invites God to move, fear invites the devil to move.
The Indictment: Job lamented in Job 3:25, "For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me." 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear—meaning fear is a spirit from the enemy!
The Reality: Unhealed trauma and constant anxiety shatter your spiritual defenses, allowing spirits of heaviness, panic, and infirmity to enter.
DOOR 7: The Power of the Tongue (Self-Cursing)
Your words are spiritual containers. You can literally curse your own life and give demons permission to enforce those curses.
The Indictment: Proverbs 18:21 declares, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."
The Reality: Saying things like, "I'm always sick," "I'll never get out of debt," or "I want to die," gives listening demonic entities the legal right to fulfill those negative prophecies over your life.
HOW TO CLOSE THE DOORS AND KEEP THEM SHUT!
Hear me by the Spirit: Jesus Christ shed His blood not just to take you to heaven, but to bring heaven to you and set you completely FREE! Here is how you evict the enemy today:
REPENT & RENOUNCE: You cannot cast out what you will not confess. Acknowledge your sin, ask God for forgiveness, and verbally renounce the enemy's access. (1 John 1:9)
RELEASE FORGIVENESS: Right now, release every person who has hurt you. Say out loud: "Lord, I choose to forgive Benjamin Mwangi, and I release them from my judgment. I ask You to heal my heart." (Colossians 3:13)
BREAK THE TIES & CURSES: Decree in the name of Jesus that every ungodly soul tie is severed by the sword of the Spirit. Plead the Blood of Jesus over your family line. (Galatians 3:13)
FILL THE HOUSE: Matthew 12:43-45 warns that if a demon is cast out but the house (your life) is left empty, seven worse demons will return. You must fill your life with the Word of God, fervent prayer, and the daily baptism of the Holy Spirit! Give the enemy NO ROOM!

  • DID YOU KNOW?
What The Vatican Knows About Seventh-day Adventists, That Makes It Angry.

There is a quiet but deep tension between the Vatican and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Most people see only two different religious groups, but Rome knows the real issue is much bigger. It is not about politics or personal feelings. It is about Bible prophecy and the authority of God’s law regarding worship.

At the center of this tension is the Sabbath. Seventh-day Adventists accepts the clear commands of the Bible to keep the seventh day, Saturday, holy. God Himself wrote this fourth commandment with His own finger: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor… but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God” (Exodus 20:8-11). This day is a weekly memorial that God is our Creator.

Adventists also know that the prophecy in Daniel 7:25 points directly to the papacy. The Scriptures says, the “little horn” power would “think to change times and laws.” History shows that the Roman Catholic Church openly admit that it changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. One of its own catechisms asks: “Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?” The answer: “Because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”

The Vatican knows these words are printed in its own books. What angers it is that Adventists use those very statements to prove the prophecy points to the Papacy. While many Protestant churches have softened their message and joined hands with Rome, Adventists have not. We still teach that this change of the Sabbath is the clearest sign of the little horn’s attempt to place itself above God’s law.

This is not a small argument about which day to rest. It is a direct challenge to the papacy’s greatest claim: that it has the power to change God’s Commandments and decide what is right in matters of faith and worship. Adventists stand as some of the last voices still holding the historic Protestant view that the papacy fulfills the Bible’s picture of the Antichrist power described in Daniel and Revelation.

The Bible warns of a final crisis in Revelation 13. A religious power will join with civil governments to force false worship on the world. Adventists discover this to be the revived Roman Papal power. In that coming test, the whole world will be divided over one important question: Who will you worship? Will you obey God’s seventh-day Sabbath, which is the seal of His authority as Creator? Or will you accept the mark of the beast by honoring a day that has no command in Scripture?

Every time an Adventist keeps the true Sabbath, it is a living protest against man-made religion. It says, “We will obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). It reminds the world that God’s law has never been changed and never will be.
The Vatican understands this clearly. It knows Adventists are not confused by tradition. They go straight to the plain words of Scripture. No amount of friendly dialogue or pressure will make us stop preaching the Sabbath, the soon return of Jesus, and the urgent call, “Come out of her (Catholicism), my people” (Revelation 18:4).

This is the great controversy between Christ and Satan. It is about who has the right to rule in the human heart, God with His holy law, or man with his unbiblical traditions. The lines are drawn. As the world moves closer to its final days, the power in Rome knows one thing for sure: the Seventh-day Adventist Church will not be silent.

We will keep lifting up the Sabbath as God’s seal on His faithful people until Jesus comes. The truth spoken from the Bible, cannot be erased. And the seventh-day Sabbath, written by God at creation, will stand forever as the sign of those who love and obey Him.

Gospel Angels Broadcasting

  • “The Same Spirit: From Genesis to Pentecost”
    Pastor Joseph Clark

The presence and activity of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament is not incidental or obscure, but foundational and continuous, revealing that the Spirit of God was actively involved in creation, in sustaining life, and in empowering individuals for divine purposes—yet in a manner that anticipates the fuller, indwelling work revealed in the New Testament.
From the very beginning of Scripture, the Holy Spirit is present and active. In the creation account, we read:
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2, KJV)
This establishes that the Spirit is not a later theological development, but an eternal participant in the work of God. The Spirit’s role in creation is further affirmed in the book of Job, which provides one of the clearest Old Testament statements regarding the Spirit’s life-giving power:
“The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” (Job 33:4, KJV)
Here, Job (through Elihu’s speech) recognizes that human life itself is the direct result of the Spirit’s creative and sustaining work. Thus, the Holy Spirit is not only present at creation but continues as the giver and sustainer of life.
Beyond creation, the Old Testament consistently shows the Spirit coming upon individuals to empower them for specific tasks. This is especially evident among the judges of Israel:
“And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war…” (Judges 3:10, KJV)
“But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet…” (Judges 6:34, KJV)
“Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah…” (Judges 11:29, KJV)
In each case, the Spirit provides divine enablement for leadership and deliverance. Similarly, the kings of Israel experienced the Spirit’s empowering presence, particularly at the moment of anointing:
“Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him… and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.” (1 Samuel 16:13, KJV)
Yet this relationship was not always permanent, as seen in the contrasting case of Saul:
“But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.” (1 Samuel 16:14, KJV)
This reveals a crucial distinction: in the Old Testament, the Spirit’s presence could be given and withdrawn according to God’s purposes.
The Spirit also worked through the prophets, inspiring them to speak the word of God:
“The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.” (2 Samuel 23:2, KJV)
“And the Spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet…” (Ezekiel 2:2, KJV)
Even in practical and artistic endeavors, the Spirit was active. When God appointed Bezalel for the construction of the tabernacle, He declared:
“And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship.” (Exodus 31:3, KJV)
Despite this clear and varied activity, the Old Testament generally describes the Spirit as coming upon individuals rather than permanently indwelling them. This is reflected in David’s prayer of repentance:
“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.” (Psalm 51:11, KJV)
David’s plea demonstrates both an awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence and the reality that such presence could be withdrawn.
At the same time, the Old Testament points forward to a future transformation in the Spirit’s relationship with God’s people. The prophets speak of a coming day when the Spirit would dwell within believers in a new and enduring way:
“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you… and I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes…” (Ezekiel 36:26–27, KJV)
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…” (Joel 2:28, KJV)
Taken together, these passages form a unified testimony: the Holy Spirit was fully present and powerfully active throughout the Old Testament—creating, giving life, empowering, and inspiring—yet His work was primarily external and task-oriented, preparing the way for the New Testament reality in which the Spirit would permanently indwell all who belong to God.
Throughout church history, many respected evangelists, theologians, and pastors have affirmed that the Holy Spirit was actively present and at work in the Old Testament long before Pentecost, though His ministry was often distinct in form from the New Testament outpouring.
Evangelist Billy Graham consistently emphasized the unity of God’s Spirit across both Testaments, teaching that the Holy Spirit was not “introduced” at Pentecost but rather revealed in fuller measure. In his preaching, Graham often pointed to the Spirit’s work in empowering prophets, convicting kings, and sustaining God’s covenant people throughout Israel’s history.
Theologian A.W. Tozer similarly stressed the eternal nature of the Spirit’s presence, describing the Holy Spirit as active in creation, revelation, and the inspiration of Scripture from Genesis onward. Tozer highlighted that the Spirit who moved upon the waters in creation is the same Spirit who continues to move upon hearts today.
Reformed theologian R.C. Sproul taught that the Holy Spirit’s work in the Old Testament included regeneration, empowerment for service, and divine revelation, even though His indwelling ministry was not as universally experienced among believers as in the New Covenant. Sproul often pointed to figures such as David, Samson, and the prophets as clear evidence of the Spirit’s empowering presence.
Pastor and author John Piper has likewise affirmed continuity in the Spirit’s saving and sanctifying work, explaining that Old Testament saints were regenerated and sustained by the Holy Spirit through faith in God’s promises, even while awaiting the fuller revelation of Christ.
Similarly, Charles Spurgeon preached extensively on the Spirit’s activity in Old Testament believers, noting that the same divine influence that brings conviction and faith in the New Testament was already at work in the hearts of Abraham, Moses, and David.
Taken together, these voices from across Christian tradition reinforce a consistent biblical understanding: the Holy Spirit has always been active in redemptive history—creating, sustaining, empowering, and revealing—though His ministry is more fully unveiled in the New Testament through the person and work of Jesus Christ and the outpouring at Pentecost.
    Galatians 5:25
